So back in the summer I had started updating our daughters room. She was wanting something a bit more girly, and who can blame her 🙂 I shared THIS inspiration with all of you and while I got off to a great start, then I broke my foot! And everything came to a screeching halt. So while I don’t have everything done, today I wanted to share with you the gallery wall in progress in her room. It’s about 95% done – meaning I have 2 things left to add, but I couldn’t wait to share it with all of you!
She has one very large wall in her room, so I knew creating a gallery wall was the perfect solution for this big blank space. But before the gallery wall could be added, a fresh coat of paint was in line. Her room was painted a light gray, and while it’s neutral she was craving more pink. However with her new pink bedding, and other pink accents in the room, painting pink walls can make it feel a bit overwhelming. So we went for a very soft shade of off white with pink undertones, that get highlighted with the other pink accents in the space. I painted her entire room Opal by: Benjamin Moore, and don’t worry I will share all the details when I reveal the entire space.
Beneath the gallery wall, she has a table and chairs she loves to sit and color at 🙂 The focal point for her gallery wall is this beautiful canvas print from Chalk Full of Love. I’ve shared some of Sara’s other products with you before, and she never disappoints.
The lettering is simply sweet, with it’s subtle ombre’ effect in a peachy-blush color. It’s the perfect focal point to create a gallery wall around, and I love that she has God’s word as a gentle reminder in her room. On either side of the print I hung the pair of Angel wings from Painted Fox for a bit of a whimsy flair.
To the left of the print, there is a photo of her we got done when she was a newborn, and on the bottom I framed THIS print from Craftberry Bush I’ve always loved!
In the caption it says “do what you love”, and I love how the simple pink flowers make the antlers feel more feminine. I have a fun little animal mount planned for the round frame on the end. It took me a while to find just the right one, so stay tuned for that!
On the right side, I have a few more small frames, and this adorable gold foil print from Always Lou Designs. “She leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes” could be our daughters trademark!
So things left to finish in her room include re-finishing an antique bed frame, and finalizing a few of the smaller decor pieces, but otherwise her room is just about complete. One of the first things I did when I got off crutches was re-paint her dresser! I couldn’t wait to get started on that, and finish it off with some new hardware, which I will show you next time!
