Hello Friends! Today I’m joining in a week long festive holiday home tour, part of the Seasonal Simplicity series with 45 other bloggers, who are sharing parts of their homes decorated for the holidays all week long! Yes you read that right fourty-five! Seriously I think this is the biggest virtual home tour series I have been apart of yet, and it’s hosted by the lovely Krista from the Happy Housie. Seriously I don’t know how she does it all, but I feel lucky just to be able to join in on the fun. I love seeing how others decorate their homes for the holidays, even if their style is completely different from mine, there is so much inspiration to be found. And who knows, sometimes I find a different place to hang a garland, or a different type of vignette to create, I just love to see what others create!
Do you hit a wall with decorating? I mean, I think we all hit a wall at some point or another, but do you hit a wall when it comes to decorating for Christmas? I do. No joke, as much as I love decorating for christmas, and anticipate it all year long, there comes a point ohhh about 2/3 of the way in to decorating our home for Christmas that I hit a wall. I’ve put together 5 Tips to help you and I get through the holiday decor blitz. Because let’s face it, sometimes just the thought of doing all that decorating for just 1 month can seem completely daunting and a waste of time. But I’m here to tell you are not alone, and to offer some tips on how to get through it!
Hello Friends!! I hope you are easing into this week slowly. For me the week after Thanksgiving is always the busiest on the blog, and with design clients. While I don’t take on design clients anymore, I have a few commercial clients that I still decorate their spaces for the holidays, and it’s a fun twist, because I get to bring out my inner “shop-owner” and do store front displays, that are different from your typical holiday home decor. Needless to say it’s a busy week, so this week begins my holiday slow down process. Where the rushing around, and shopping become more of a joy, because they don’t require deadlines. So to ease into this week (in case you have a case of the Monday’s too :p) I’m sharing a round up of my favorite Christmas decor with you!
If there could be one word to describe my Christmas decor, it is “cozy” – without a doubt, for sure. I don’t know if it just seems to be ringing louder in my ears this year, or because our temperatures have dropped earlier this year, but there is one thing for sure that I keep hearing over and over again in my head as I look around our home this holiday season and it’s the word COZY. It’s no secret that I love decorating for the holidays, and I’m so excited to be teaming up with some of my favorite bloggers today, and Balsam Hill to show you the cozy side of Christmas that has been spread throughout our home – inside & out.
Hello friends! I sure hope you are not getting tired of seeing Christmas posts yet 🙂 I think the biggest thing I have tried focusing on this year while decorating for Christmas is it’s not how much stuff you add, but what you add. I shared in my bedroom post yesterday that I wanted things to feel simple and fresh, with one to two statement pieces. And I feel like that has ended up being the theme in all of my christmas decor this year. And I have to say, I am not sad about it at all. In years past, I’ve started to feel a bit claustrophobic by the time Christmas actually arrives with too much decor added, and this year it just feels fresh with meaningful touches of christmas decor spread throughout our house. Come and take a look.
Hello Friends!! I am spreading some more holiday cheer today around our home, this time in our master bedroom. I’m so excited because I have some friends joining me today as well, so whether you choose to decorate your bedroom for christmas or not, I think you are sure to be inspired in todays post.
Hello Friends!! First, I just have to say THANK YOU so much for all your kind comments on my Holiday Housewalk post yesterday!! It means so much!!! Today I’m sharing some of my new cozy winter throw pillows, and there is a chance for one lucky reader to win a set of throw pillows for your home too!!
Hello Friends!!! I am so excited to kick off this week with Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk!! This is my 4th year joining in this festive virtual holiday home tour, and I am so excited to be here! It was dream of mine from the very beginning of my blogging days to be able to join Jen’s infamous Holiday Housewalk tour, and every year I am so grateful to be in it.
Hello Friends!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family, and your bellies are still full. We are enjoying the holiday weekend away with family, and couldn’t be happier to have some r&r during what can be such a busy time of the year for our family. I will be sharing more Christmas decor around our home this upcoming week, but in the meantime wanted to share the tutorial from a tablescape I shared last week!
