Hello Friends! Today I’m joining in a week long festive holiday home tour, part of the Seasonal Simplicity series with 45 other bloggers, who are sharing parts of their homes decorated for the holidays all week long! Yes you read that right fourty-five! Seriously I think this is the biggest virtual home tour series I have been apart of yet, and it’s hosted by the lovely Krista from the Happy Housie. Seriously I don’t know how she does it all, but I feel lucky just to be able to join in on the fun. I love seeing how others decorate their homes for the holidays, even if their style is completely different from mine, there is so much inspiration to be found. And who knows, sometimes I find a different place to hang a garland, or a different type of vignette to create, I just love to see what others create!
If you are visiting from Maison de Cinq, then welcome! Sheila cozy nation decorated for Christmas looks so festive and inviting!!
And if you are new here just from hopping around the tour in general, I’m so glad you hopped over to my page! I’m Bre, and I love to white tops and entirely way too much coffee! I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing, but here I share my love for all things home with some practical tips, a little diy, and encouragement for whatever stage of life you are in! I love encouraging others to “Love the space they Live in” and I hope you will be encouraged as you visit my blog today!
For this tour I created more of a rustic Christmas tablescape, slightly scaled down from my Eclectic Christmas Tablescape I shared earlier in the season. I think it’s fun to use some of the same elements, and incorporate them with different pieces to create a completely different look!
I used the same flannel blanket as my base, but this time it does a solo act, because I removed the white tablecloth from underneath it. Letting the raw ends of my table stick out, gives it more of a casual feel.
An assortment of bottle brush trees scattered down the center of my table, mixed in with rustic copper bells, add loads of texture and interest, keeping your eye moving down the entire table. I tucked in fresh cedar branches along the base, and embellished with tiny antique ornaments to complete the centerpiece.
I used real tree slices as chargers that really set the tone for the rustic – woodsy vibe throughout the entire table. Especially since the reinforce the woodland feel from the bottle brush trees used down the center of the table.
To keep things casual, I wrapped the silverware with a napkin, tied it with a ribbon and placed it on each place setting. This changes things up from how I would traditionally set the table for a more elegant setting, but keeps things light and fun!
Amber colored goblets tie in with the tones from the copper bells, and even the warmer toned color on the bottle brush trees, to play off of a sort of monochromatic look throughout the table.
In the background you can see my christmas village mantle vignette, I created with my latest obsession tiny houses! I started scooping these up last year, and they were the first thing I grabbed when the christmas decor started hitting the store shelves this year!
They are so much fun, and evoke such a sense of holiday wonder in my kids. I love seeing their faces light up, especially when they get to turn on the lights at night!
You can see more of this sweet little village HERE.

Love this table Bre! It’s rustic elegance at it’s finest – and of course, I adore those bottle brush trees! 🙂 And your little houses are SO cute!! I have some paper mache ones, but I’m loving your galvanized ones so much.
Always fun to be “hopping” with you again! Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
