I can’t believe after this weekend Summer is officially over. We started school here yesterday, and spent the first part of the week soaking in the last bit of lazy summer days. Cuddling on the couch till lunch in our pjs, going out for ice cream, playing outside until the sun went down, and of course a little shopping to get ready for school. This year both my babies are in school all day, with my youngest finally starting kindergarten. I say finally because she has been anxiously waiting to go to school since her brother started 2 years ago. No more side kick with me throughout the day, just me. I’ll give you an update once I’ve had a moment to let that sink in, and settled into a routine. With the long weekend, and the hubby off today, routine is still off in the distance, but I am excited at the thought of having the house to myself. Today’s Farmhouse Tour Friday is being dubbed a “special edition” because well, it’s special. [Read more…]

I told you yesterday that I had something pretty cool happen over the weekend on Instagram. Something that doesn’t happen very often in this social media crazed world we live in. The dare to be authentic and live truly through the eyes of a lens and all that follow it is very rarely seen in large scales. Why is it that we get shunned for sharing everyday, ordinary life pictures? Isn’t that how social media started in the first place. I’ve shared my guidelines for Instagram HERE, and if you want to be successful, these simple guidelines hold a lot of weight in what to share and what not to share. But something compelled me Saturday to share a glimpse into what our everyday life really looks like. It wasn’t to be like “hey I’m human too” which I am, but it was more the picture perfect photos you see on the blog and on instagram, while nice, are not who we are day in a day out. [Read more…]
Happy Monday Friends!!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! I had something pretty amazing happen over the weekend on Instagram, and I will be back tomorrow to share more on that. Don’t worry it’s nothing ground shaking, we aren’t getting our own HGTV show (because that seems to be the trend lately), but something to me on a much deeper level, and I can’t wait to share more on that tomorrow. Speaking of Instagram thought, I have another installment of Houses on Instagram! With so many blogs out there these days, it’s not as common for you to cross paths as much as it was in the earlier days of blogging. That’s another reason I love instagram. You can cross paths with so many people you might of never seen online, but in this closer knit community of people, some blog, some don’t, but we are all there with one common purpose. We love home decor, and encouraging one another. That’s why I started this series. To share beautiful homes with all of you, that I found from Instagram, and have grown to love their feeds, and the beautiful people behind them. [Read more…]
Ohhh Friends, did we have a fun, busy, exhausting, exciting, blessed weekend!! If you caught my post last week, than you knew we were headed out to do the Lowe’s Fall Makeover. We left Thursday, the hubby and I, and came back late late last night. Our flight there was delayed, setting us back quite a bit, and our flight home was delayed. So I think it’s safe to say we will be laying low the next couple of days and catch up on some much needed sleep 🙂 It was so much fun, we had a fantastic time from start to finish, and I can’t wait to share the reveal with all of you!! Today we have another installment of Houses on Instagram. For our second house in this new series we have the lovely Melinda from House 214. When I first stumbled across her feed, I adored her farmhouse kitchen, and basically drooled over every detail, and I think you will love it too!! [Read more…]

Do you ever cross paths with someone, and become completely smitten with their passion and mission statement?!? That was me, when I found 25:40 Love! After connecting with Jessica, wife of the husband and wife team that created 25:40 love, I was in awe of their heart and their passion for helping those in need! [Read more…]

Hello Friends!! We have been quite the busy little bees over here lately. With temps in the single digits lately, we have been in hibernation mode. Perfect time to bust out some projects from the to-do list. If you follow me on Instagram, than you know there are lots of things happening over here. For those not on Instagram I will fill you in a bit over here, and also provide a little more info for the Instagram posts you have seen.
So we sold out black dining room table! I know you’re thinking WHAT?! But yes, it was time to bid her farewell, and although I like the table much more once it was black, it still wasn’t my dream table, which the hubby so sweetly offered to make. So first I had to make room for the new table = insert sell current table!
Hey Everyone! I hope your summer has kicked off to a great start! We have been soaking up the sun as much as possible, including a trip to the beach already! I love the New England coast in the summer. My favorite is driving up Rt. 1 and looking at all the gorgeous houses! I’m here today to share a little collage of what we’ve been up to lately via Instagram (where you will find me the most, lately), because I can’t seem to find the time to get any detailed posts up as of late. I guess that means we are doing a good job enjoying the nice weather, right?!
