These little trough/planters have always seemed to catch my eye.

Maybe it’s because they somewhat remind me of
my all time LOVE the wooden dough bowl!

And after seeing them pop up here and there on a few different blogs,
I started thinking, they can’t be that hard to make?
Then as I investigated a little more, I noticed these people were making them,
not buying them! duh!
There are a few tutorials out there, and this really is such a simple project,
so I didn’t really think there was a need for another tutorial,
just click the link below and follow her steps 🙂
So after showing Jesse the photos, he didn’t even bother with the tutorial,
he headed down to his workshop (i.e. the basement)
and through together this little number in about 5 min.
Obviously then we had to stain it, but it didn’t take long at all.
This is what we got :
He sanded the corners, and scuffed it up a bit,
although hard to tell in the photos.
I can’t wait to decorate it as the seasons change.
Looking forward to stocking it with lots of flowers for the summer,
and gourds for the fall,
and pine cones and candles for the winter 😉
~Have you gotten handy with any projects lately?
