I came across this Pin
via: The White Rabbit
last spring…
and was instantly in love!
It’s a bit more on the Shabby Chic side
(in my mind)
But I loved the idea of using this old window and making a sign out of it,
I knew it could be done,
just wasn’t quite sure how at the time,
but I saved it for future reference.
Then I came across this lovely blog,
ohh back in the fall, maybe?
Have you met Claire?
This girl is great! Not only does she make and re-create the best stuff,
click here for the post on this fab chair! |
but do you ever come across someone and wish you lived closer
because you know you would be friends?
Like the kind of friends that like all the same stuff?
I told her one time it’s probably a good thing we don’t live close because I would hi-jack all her stuff ๐
{kidding… sort of :~p }
Anyways, Claire has a great story,
I love it,
but how I stumbled across her lovely blog was this window project
she was in the middle of.
If you aren’t familiar, make sure you head over to her blog to read all about it.
Anyways,
in one of her posts she did a little how-to
and it was exactly what I needed to know!
INSERT : Future reference ๐
So going off of how Claire made one of her windows,
I knew exactly what I wanted to make.
I love love love this saying!
So it was a no-brainer for me that
this was the one I wanted to make.
I’m not really a decorate for Valentine’s Day
kinda gal.
But this was sweet enough for me.
So with Valentine’s Day now on the brain,
this was one my To-Do list.
Thank You so much Claire for sharing how you did yours,
it made it so I cold make mine ๐
Hope you are having a wonderful Monday!

Do you make these to order? Only I havn’t the time/talent you have, but would love this so much for my husband as its our 30th anniversary this year
Bre says
Hi Sharon! I could certainly make one for you. Could you please e-mail me – [email protected] – and I can go over details with you. In order to get you a shipping estimate I would need to know your zip code. Thanks! Bre

I love the window art! What type of prep do you do on the window before you apply paint? Do you use a sealer such as Modge Podge? I plan to paint window glass and hang the window on the outside near my porch area. Thanks for your help.
Bre says
Hi Phyllis, All I did to prep the window was clean it with windex, and I didn’t seal it with anything only because I wasn’t planning on using it outdoors, but I think sealing it with modge lodge is a great idea ๐
