Well, I did it! I know, “Did what”, is what you are thinking? And I know some of you are going to be in sheer shock, because what was wrong with the color it was anyways, right?! Well allow me to introduce you to my fleeting thought, that ended up getting stuck in my head, and felt like it was burning a whole through my forehead, so much so that I just had to act upon it, or I was going to drive myself crazy!!!! Still lost?

Notice anything different?
Almost so faint you don’t even notice it,
or maybe you noticed right away.
The green is gone.
Yep, I re-painted the living room after less than 2 years,
cuz let’s face it, I got an idea in my head last fall,
and couldn’t shake it.
So it was time to say Goodbye to Wasabi Green (Home Depot)
And say Hello to Halo by Ben Moore!
(fyi – I have a hard time not busting out into Beyonce’s song,
every time I say the name!)
Eek! Can you hear my squeal from here!!
I love how calm it makes the space,
and not to mention bright.
Wasabi Powder was certainly not a dark color, but once it was painted Halo,
it was like “Hello who turned on the lights!”
I understand there are probably going to be mixed feelings about it,
but I’m really loving this change,
Halo is the perfect shade of beige kaki,
with undertones of grey, taupe and yes … green.
So don’t get me wrong, I loved the green,
and seriously would use that color again in my house,
but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new kaki beige.
I think this will be the closest to an all white wall I will go ๐
So once more

ย AFTER:
I also got a new piece of wall art,
that I am head over heels for!
Do you see it there on the middle shelf?
It’s from Antique Farmhouse,
and has the perfect distressed feel of a vintage sign,
with a “Cow-Pig” on it.
That’s what my kids call it ๐
And if you are wondering, YES I did paint the kitchen as well! Two great friends of mine came over, and we busted both rooms out in one day! Between the three of us we were able to get it all done, and occupy the kids as well! Thank God for great friends! And new paint!! Also just as a side not, I think painting a room is the best way to “Spring Clean”, holy dust and cobweb batman! So I went all out, washed all the curtains, slip covers, dusted every surface, and purged the toys! Phew… it’s been a busy couple of weeks. Well, I hope you like the changes, would LOVE to know what you think of our new living room color, Halo! Are you a fan of almost white walls? Or do you crave some color?
Have a great Day!

Where did you purchase your white couch? I’ve been reading so many reviews and can’t decide where to buy this type of couch.

Love the living room after in Halo. I have this color in my dining room. I painted over paneling with it, so you can imagine how much ifferent it looks now. Like you said the room just came to light. I just found your blog an I will be a regular reader. We have very similar taste.

White paint surely makes rooms look bright and clean. But why settle for plain white when you can have the same bright atmosphere but with more attitude in it? The new paint on your living room made it look more relaxing. Thumbs up!

Oh my goodness!! I am seriously in LOVE!! You’re right! It looks so calm and peaceful now. Isn’t that weird how paint can do that? I also have to say.. I am so jealous over your “cow-pig”!! I almost bought him the other day when I saw it on Antique Farmhouse because The Rustic Pig should surely have a pig somewhere in her office!! Right?? Love ya girl! Hugs!
