Hey Everyone! I hope your summer has kicked off to a great start! We have been soaking up the sun as much as possible, including a trip to the beach already! I love the New England coast in the summer. My favorite is driving up Rt. 1 and looking at all the gorgeous houses! I’m here today to share a little collage of what we’ve been up to lately via Instagram (where you will find me the most, lately), because I can’t seem to find the time to get any detailed posts up as of late. I guess that means we are doing a good job enjoying the nice weather, right?!
1. So part of the reason I haven’t been posting much lately, is we dove head first into landscaping this year. And to avoid getting 5 ft weeds again this year, I spent a few LOTS of hours digging out our back hill (where the mower doesn’t fit) so we could plant some bushes.
2. The fruit of that labor is pic #2 of our back hill all cleaned up, mulched, and a dozen Limelight Hydrangea bushes planted that will grow to be 8 ft. tall, and pretty much takeover that area, and act as a nice border to our neighbors 🙂
3. + 4. And it would be summer, unless there were naked babies running around in the yard, and a spiderman sprinkler to kick off the summer fun, right?!
5. Kitchen projects for Phase 1 are complete! I can’t wait to show you, but we have beadboard backsplash up, new corbels under the cabinets, and shelves. So lovely!
6. Some new shelf styling! I got those plates a little while back at Marshall’s for $7 a set! They are the Hotel collection. Ultra thick and durable, and W H I T E!
7. New kitchen shelf layout. We spread them out a bit more, and added a third one. Because everything is better in three’s, right? Well at least to me. Also did you notice, no more tan walls? Sneak peak of our new paint color in the kitchen. And I’ve already switched up the shelf styling due to my three new jars in pic #8.
8. On the top of my list of things I wanted to get for the kitchen was these three massive (I believe 32oz.) jars, totally look like Crate & Barrel, but they’re not = Walmart! yup $9.97 ea. can’t beat the price.
9. And what would summer be with out some bomb fires, right?
Well I appologize if I’ve been a bit MIA lately. I assure you I’m not going anywhere. I love my blog, and blogging friends, and this whole wonderful world via the web. But I’m also trying to make sure I soak up my precious moments with my babies, because we all know they won’t be babies forever 🙂
Til Next Time,
XO,

The New England coast is pretty in spring. We had the pleasure of going up to Maine, and other parts like that a few years ago. I’d always wanted to be able to see New England so when hubs told me he had a delivery and pick up in that neck of the woods I packed my duds in a hurry. He was a truck driver and I dearly loved going with him as much as I could. Think I’m part gypsy. We went all the way up almost into Canada. Wish we could do it again.
Sounds like you deserved a trip to beach after all the yard work but it’s worth it to look and see what you’ve accomplished. Now I have to go to Walmart to see if they have those big jars, I love jars. Happy days and summer
