I’ve shared this sweet little list here on the blog before. I love this list because I feel like it’s the best way to catch up with all of you, with what is on my mind and in my heart! We have been enjoying our summer, being outside and soaking in the summer sun. We are getting ready for our last vacation of the summer next week, with lots of day trips and fun activities planned, as well as our FIRST day ever to school. I’ll talk a little bit more about it further down, but our first born is starting kindergarten next week. And we are very excited. It’s full day, in our towns tiny elementary school, and I can’t wait to see what this new adventure brings for him. So here is what I’ve been up to:
Loving: This sweet moment between my hubby and our little girl. He took her out on her FIRST date, and she adored the entire night. He picked her flowers from our yard, took her to a fancy restaurant, and they ended the night dancing in the parking lot. She was on cloud 9, and completely in love with her daddy.
Reading : I’m just about done with it, and only because I’m not the most consistent reader is why I haven’t finished it already. But I am thoroughly enjoying The Nester’s book, and all the insight she shares. It’s so true, that if you enjoy her blog, you will L.O.V.E. her book!
Waiting : To go Apple Picking. I realize this isn’t available to everyone across the country, but here it’s a big event. And one I look forward to bringing the kids to year after year. I don’t know what they enjoy more, the adventure of picking apples, the freedom to eat any apples while picking, or enjoying the celebratory pie that’s made once we get home.
Excited About: First Day of Kindergarten!! As I said in the beginning our little boy is gearing up to start Kindergarten at the end of next week. We live in a rural town, and our public school offers full day kindergarten, which he is quite excited about!!
Using: Instagram! A lot!! I love catching up with people on IG, and if you haven’t connected with me yet on there, join me! It’s the main way I stay in touch right now ๐ Here’s my July IG favorites.
Working On: Recent yard sale finds. Busy painting these bad boys, and trying out Country Chic Paint for the first time. Have to say, I’m loving it!
Wearing: So you all are aware of my love for white. I don’t know why I waited so long to try an all white manicure. It is my new favorite summer color ๐ I shared it on IG, just in case you missed it, I included it here.
Planning : A Home Decor Line, a new website, an online boutique, launching all 3, switching to wordpress, and building my inventory. More on all of that to come soon!
Singing: You Make Me Brave by: Bethel. This album has been on repeat since the beg of June, and I’m still loving every minute of it!
Dreaming Of : So much more!! We have so many exciting things on the horizon, along with my husbands busy season at work, and I know some of you aren’t even there yet, but as a decorator I’m always planning the next season, and next up for me is holidays, my favorite time of the year ๐
With summer winding down, one more vacation, and back to school, I will back to a more regular schedule on here soon!! I have lots of things planned for this little ol’ blog, until then, you can stay in touch with me on Instagram (roomsforrent).
