Well you all got to see a sneak peak yesterday of the antique buffet we recently got. If you follow me on Instagram you saw my before picture of this and it’s matching hutch. I will be sharing the hutch reveal soon, but for those of you who haven’t seen lets take a look at the before one more time.
With summer in full swing, I hadn’t done any projects, and was itching to diy something. You may have seen around the blogsphere the new paint line called Country Chic Paint. I decided that this was the perfect piece to try it out on, and I was so pleased with not only the outcome, but the whole process.
I gave the whole piece two coats of Pebble Beach. A perfect medium gray tone, not too light, not too dark. I’ve used ASCP before, so I was curious to see what the differences would be. I’ve read other stories of people using different chalk based paint and it not coming out as nicely. I can confidently say that this paint produces! It was just as easy to us as the ASCP if not easier. It applied so smooth and silky, and you don’t have to sand your furniture prior. Just wipe down, grab a brush and you are good to go! And honestly it’s a bit thinner than the ASCP so it didn’t take as long to paint, and I got more original detail out of the piece. It almost aged similar to that of Milk Paint, but still had a good body of a chalk based paint.

Beautiful room! Can you tell me the names of the paint colors on the wall? I am contemplating doing this in our dining room. Thanks!
