I just love this time of the year, don’t you?! The weather might not be changing where you are, but I just love all that fall represents. It’s more than just changing the decor in our homes, as the temperatures change outside. It’s embracing and resting in all this new season brings with it. As I look around my house, and just the subtle details that have changed as we get ready for fall, it makes me pause and reflect on the year so far, and slow down a bit after the hustle of soaking up all that summer has to offer. Seeing warm throw blankets draped on the back of the couch, and darker, warmer colors come out in throw pillows, and fall branches, it draws me in to sit down, light a candle, and curl up with a nice big cup of pumpkin spice something, and just rest. I love how the coziness of fall draws us back indoors, and we desire to create warm spaces for our families. I am back today to show you a few more spaces around our house decorated for fall, and join my friends in the Fall Into Home series.
For me fall is all about texture. However I think I incorporate texture in every season, so let me re-phrase that. It’s all about bringing in fall type nature, and warm-hued texture that reflects the changing scenery outside.
I think I incorporate navy blue into every season, so fall was no exception. It was navy and deep burgundy, greens and browns that I carried throughout our home. I even painted some pumpkins this year, and loved how the navy blue ones came out!
Adding nature throughout our home is a must for me. To me it’s what makes our home come alive, in any season! So adding nature to my fall collection was a must! I wanted to bring in things that I would decorate my own spaces with, and I’m telling you these certainly impressed me when I saw them in person. So much so they were a must to add to our curated collection. From the pretty hues in the magnolia wreath, to the most realistic looking autumn branches I have seen, down to the wheat. They all add so much texture and are a great way to sprinkle fall throughout our home.
This year I carried the same theme throughout our entire home. So when you walk into our dining room, you are greeted by the same navy blue, and hints of autumn you see everywhere else.
The kitchen was no exception. Even though I kept the decor to a minimal, I still stuck with the same color palette, and it allows our decor to feel bigger than it really is, because it’s consistent throughout our entire home.
I think sometimes it’s easy to get wrapped up in making our homes picture perfect. Or they have to look just like they do in the magazines in order for it to feel like we’ve decorated for the season. But that is just not the case! For fall, it’s all about warm colors, and cozy textures. Lighting a candle to invite us into the space.
I bet that even right now you already have things in your own home that you can swap out to make it feel more like fall without even heading to the store. Maybe we take that throw blanket out of the basket and drape it on our sofa? Maybe we head outside and clip some leaves and throw them in a vase on our counter? Invite nature in!
Decorating for the seasons doesn’t always mean going out and buying new things, even though that is fun too! I challenge you to take a look around your own home, and with some minor tweaking I bet you can make it a little bit cozier for fall ๐
Don’t forget to take a look at the rest of the tours as well, to soak in some great inspiration for your fall decor!

Just discovered your website tonight while browsing through Pinterest. I absolutely LOVE what you have done with your home. The look is exactly what I have been trying to achieve. I am a little ADD and have a difficult time finding what I like at the stores. In your opinion, what stores would you recommend while searching for some of the decor items you have found? Again, I LOVE your ideas :))

I’m a new fan and I’ll be with you *forever*! Absolutely love your style. You have IT. What we all want in our own homes….the calm and warm cozy feeling. Beautiful. Relaxing. I have searched thru and was looking for the paint color you have in your dining room. I’m only finding sources on the living room. Would they happen to be the same?

Hi Diane!! I’m so glad you’re here ๐ Thank you so much for stopping by! The gray paint in the dining room is Woodsmoke by Glidden. It is probably my ALL time favorite ๐ I have an image in my side bar titled “Paint Colors in our Home”, just in case you see another room that you are curious about the paint color. Have a wonderful day!
