One of the things I think I love the most about Instagram, is connecting with other people! It’s instant, it’s easy, and I have made so many connections with people I probably normally wouldn’t have crossed paths with, or had the opportunity to chat with! As much as I get wonderful comments from people who find my house on Instagram, I feel like I find just as many wonderful new people on IG. To me it doesn’t matter how many followers somebody has, it’s their pictures that speak for them! And you all know what it’s like to stumble across a feed of a “new to you” account and stop dead in your tracks! Well yeah, I feel the same exact way! So I’ve recently reached out to a few of those feeds and asked if I could share their beautiful home tours on here with all of you! And you know what they said … “YES!” So I’m so excited to kick off a new series here on the blog, called “Houses on Instagram”, because lets face it, I probably wouldn’t have seen them if it wasn’t for Instagram, and I just absolutely L.O.V.E. their spaces!
Today’s house is from the lovely Katie Nisbett (@katienisbett). She’s a wife, a mom, a decorator, and a photographer. Her pictures are just breathtaking, and I love her farmhouse style, and think you will too!! Say hello to Katie!
Her dining room had me stopped in my tracks! Of course I love the ship lap walls, but the farmhouse feel carried from the table up to that gorgeous chandelier is so tastefully done.
Her photos just captivate me, and I love how she beautifully express’s her art through the lens of a camera.
I recognize that tray! So beautifully decorated, it makes the perfect statement in her kitchen. You can get your own HERE.
I love her clean neutral palette that she carries throughout her home. Her tasteful choices in decor, make her style seem effortless, but she has truly created a peaceful and calm environment to rest in.
Who says neutral has to be boring. One of my favorite things about a neutral color scheme is it allows architecture and other fun decor objects POP from their surroundings. The simplest frame or shutters are now artwork up against their pretty neutral back drop.
She continues this calming color scheme throughout her entire house, as you see here in the bedrooms.
I absolutely ADORE her neutral shared kids space! So many fun DIY’s in this space, but it is the perfect mix for a boy and girl bedroom.
And now to this adorable family that lives in such a beautiful home! It’s always nice to see who gets to enjoy the spaces we create, and I’m sure her family soaks in all this beautiful home has to offer.
Thank you so much to Katie for sharing your beautiful home with all of us, and of course if you want to see more, be sure to follow her on Instagram @katienisbett.
