I’m so excited to be back today sharing another beautiful farmhouse tour! One of the things I love most about farmhouse style decor is it’s relaxed feel and easy living vibe that lets all of us put our own spin on it. While we all have similarities, in farmhouse decor you get to personalize your look all on your own, which makes seeing every home, inspirational! Todays tour is nothing short of inspirational, and I know you are going to love it too!
Meet Deb, from Seeking Lavender Lane. Deb is a wife, and mom of 2, and loves to home decor! After going to school for fashion design, she realized quickly her true passion was in home design. She started her blog 3 years ago where she shares how they transform their 1980’s “cookie-cutter” colonial into their dream farmhouse.
You would never be able to tell by her pictures that her home was built in the 1980’s. She fills it with the perfect pieces that add charm and interest. You instantly feel welcomed in to her home, which is anything but “cookie-cutter”.
Then, onto her dining room, I go gah-gah over her gorgeous walls! The texture, the color, it adds so much to the space.
Off of her dining room, her kitchen is bursting with farmhouse decor! The shiplap wall, white subway tile, the chippy table. I just love it all, and how much charm it adds to her space.
Kitchen decor doesn’t have to be fussy, and here Deb proves that by adding simple farmhouse pieces like pitchers, and breadboards that add farmhouse charm that are practical to use as well.
Off the kitchen, is the family room, which looks like the perfect cozy spot to relax in.
I love how she incorporates vintage pieces into their decor, yet it still feels fresh and new with a neutral color palette.
I love her use of blue in the master bedroom, and the mix of rustic pieces with crisp white linens. I also recognize the feather pillow on her bed 🙂
Her absolute hope one day would be able to own an old home with true character that I could bring back to life. Until then, we continue to add as much character to this house and make it a bright and airy home that is inviting and what we call Home.
