It’s no secret around here that I love creating tablescapes! You’ve heard me say it before, and I will probably say it again. Which is why I am so excited to share a NEW mini-course created just for Holiday DIY Tablescapes, and just in time with the holidays right around the corner. This instantly available course was created by Jen Wagner, and is available through Jeanne Oliver Designs. You may remember a course I taught with Jeanne and other friends all about the Art of Home. One thing I know for sure, is that the courses Jeanne provides on her website are from the most thoughtful, creative and genuine women, who truly want to inspire and help others create! It’s a beautiful network of artists, and this course happens to be particularly close to home. There is nothing I love doing more than creating tablescapes, but trust me, I know for some the thought of it is daunting, or perhaps even un-inspiring. The good news is it doesn’t have to be that way! Whether you’ve dabbled in it before, are completely new to the concept, or love creating inviting tables for your guests to come and sit at, I think you will love this course.
In this online course, Jen – hand lettering artist and graphic designer, will teach you 10 easy to accomplish DIY’s that will transform your holiday table into a thoughtfully created tablescape that will make each of your guests feel welcome and cherished with your personal touches.
Here’s what Jen has to say herself :
“Having friends and family over is one of my favorite things and when I can add a bit of my personality and style into my entertaining I love it even more.
I invite you to join me for this fun and easy tablescape mini course. I wanted to create something that would allow you to dress up your holiday table but also make it easy to go from Thanksgiving to Christmas and beyond.
Entertaining doesn’t have to be stressful and it is actually a lot of fun if we can take the pressure off of ourselves and create warm and inviting spaces for our friends and family. Making things look pretty is a lot of fun but making your guests feel loved and special is the best part.
-Jen”
One of the ways I get inspired to create beauty is not by perusing pretty pictures that remind me exactly of my style. I find it so refreshing to step outside my “design box” and be inspired by designs in different styles. Even though I’m known for my rustic farmhouse approach, there are so many other design styles out there that I find inspiring. And honestly encourage some of my best work! Which is why I say NO to putting myself in a design box, and turn to lots of things for inspiration.
I think the important thing to remember is tablescapes don’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful! It’s the thought and the details that go into it that make it uniquely you, and extra special to those gathering around your table.
