Like any room in our house, when spring comes along I like to switch out winter blankets for summer blankets. There’s nothing like freshening up a space during spring time months with lighter blankets and pillows. Since it’s national sleep week I wanted to show you how I lightened things up in our master bedroom. I teamed up with Crane & Canopy, along with a few other bloggers to share our bedrooms with you all week long.
You may remember last fall I gave our master bedroom a mini-makeover and added this gorgeous new headboard. I love the mix of linen and wood and it creates the perfect amount of soothing elegance in our bedroom.
With the change of seasons, I put away my charcoal gray linens and swapped them out for crisp white bedding.
I love our white cloud quilt from Crane & Canopy, and recently added their Belgian linen duvet cover in white also. It’s heavenly!
When implementing an all white bedding scheme I like to play with textures and pattern. It keeps things from feeling stale and blah! It also sets the stage to add a pop of color with an accent pillow. I went with this indigo african lumbar pillow from Danielle Oakey, and it was just what I was craving for our space.
Part of freshening up our bedroom for spring I like to clean off our night stands for a clean slate. I keep things to a minimal because it’s so much more relaxing for me to walk into our bedroom when it’s clean. Even if there are clothes on the floor having our other surfaces cleared off keeps me feeling relaxed. *Bedside lamps can be found at Painted Fox.*
A faux floral arrangement from HomeGoods gives me fuss free flowers year round I don’t have to worry about switching out. I got this small wooden trinket dish from Crate & Barrel last fall that is the perfect size for catching jewelry I had on earlier in the day. I always forget to take my earrings off before climbing into bed. So having a spot I can place them so they don’t get lost is great!
Another great way to balance all the white is by adding pieces that have a warm wood finish. I love the detail of this side table, found HERE, with it’s turned legs and slightly distressed patina. Since the wall that our bed is on isn’t long enough to handle a long table on either side, this round table is the perfect solution.
I hope you’ve enjoyed our spring master bedroom, be sure to stop by the other bloggers participating this week for even more inspiration!

I love switching up my linens with the beginning of summer and winter as well. Your room is so refreshing, yet looks comfy. I would love to know where you found your coverlet. I had one I loved and it somehow tore. I’ve been searching for another I like. Thanks so much!
