Thank you so much for your kind words to yesterdays post! I shared my struggle to keep up with running at a break-neck pace with little or no time to refresh ourselves. The downside to this is we end up running out of creative juices. I’m talking about when the creative pool runs dry. We are left feeling unmotivated and uninspired to create or put our hands into any project. You can catch the post in it’s entirety HERE, but what it did was inspire me to put my hands to doing something I truly love. If you’ve been following along for awhile than you know it’s no secret I love creating tablescapes. And just as much as I love to style them, I love to photograph them as well!
So that’s just what I did! I teamed up with one of my most creative friends, Christi owner of Twig & Tulip Floral Studio. She creates amazing floral arrangements, and we had so much fun working on this project together. We created this tablescape in Christi’s beautiful home, and I think you will agree once you see her dining room.
I’m going to keep the talking to a minimum on this one, because well – sometimes it is just inspiring to look at pretty pictures. Her table and chairs are from Restoration Hardware, and you might recognize her area rug. It’s the same one I have in my dining room, you can find it HERE.
Even though we are calling this a mothers day tablescape, I think there are multiple occasions you could use this for. Regardless this is a table styled for mom. With beautiful dusty pinks, and rose gold accents and a touch of coral, it’s a great way to celebrate the special women in your life.
Since we used a lot of sparkly votives down the center of the table, and thrifted silver platters, we brought balance in with rustic twig chargers, found HERE, and of course showing off Christi’s beautiful farmhouse table.
Since this was a combination effort of her things and mine, I included some shopable links at the bottom of the post for some exact and similar pieces we used to create this look.
Of course the show stopper in all of this is the gorgeous floral arrangement Christi create in the center of the table. It really was breathtaking, and completely set the mood for the spring time celebration.
When I look over this table, I imagine it surround by those we hold closest to us. Rich conversation and laughter fill the room, while delectable treats fill our tummies. Celebrating those around us doesn’t require a ton of work. However I’m one that thinks the impact is in the details.
So whether your table is big or small, or your circle is intimate or expanding, I think the important thing is that we make time for those around us, and celebrate one another! Life is too busy not to enjoy the fullness of relationship and friendship, so however you chose to spend your day, I hope you get to fill up on life around a table somewhere this mothers day!

Greetings from wet and dreary Melbourne in Oz.
What a lovely table setting. It put a smile on my face on this wet and dreary day. So much so … I had to share it with my friends who I’m sure will be just as impressed. Thank you for this lovely post.
