Eek! Spring has Sprung! Well at least inside our home it has. I should have known better living in New England, and having temps in the 70’s in February that is wouldn’t last, but at least it was nice while it was here, and I while I was taking these photos. Nope, today we are in for another nor’easter. If you aren’t from New England it’s when a really bad snow storm, and a really bad storm at sea collide, or in other words a heck of a lot of snow. Close to 20″ they are calling for. So we are cozied up inside with the wood stove going, but I promise you it was sunny and I did have the windows and doors open for a brief moment when I took these photos. The good news is we have made it into March, so any snow we do get doesn’t last too long. And while mother nature may not have gotten the memo that we have officially “sprung forward”, but at least we have in our house.
Nothing says Spring to me like a bunch of peonies! And even though our branches may be covered in snow outside, the smell inside is heavenly and says Spring is coming.ย
I grabbed just about as many bunches of my hearts desire at our local flower market, and tossed them in a large vase and placed them on our coffee table. They fill the room.
I picked up these striped pillows from Target the other day, and they were the perfect pop of crisp white that I was craving for spring.
This year I have taken a leap. I am actually trying my hand at some real plants, yes you read that correctly, real plants in our house. Trust me, I am still faux all the way, and I think my spring vignette proves that point, but I’ve slowly added a few live plants, including the one on our side table here, and I will be sure to keep you posted on how it goes.ย
You can see more of how I refreshed our front entryway for spring HERE.
However on our other side table, this little potted gem is faux! I picked it up from Target also, it was so cute, I couldn’t resist it!
P.S. If you are wondering what looks different about our living room, it’s our sofa! I recently replaced the white slip cover with a gray slipcover. I was dying to change things up, and I couldn’t be happier! I will be back tomorrow to tell you all about it!
In our dining room, I carried the same peonies in, and placed them with some ranunculus in recycled glasses scattered down the center of the table.
I shared all the details about this spring tablescape yesterday, so be sure to see the full post HERE.

Love your style. Where did you get the plaid white and blue/black pillow on your couch? I’ve been looking for one like it everywhere!
Bre says
Ohhh thank you Mackenzie ๐ I actually made it from some dish towels I got fro Target last year. These ones are similar, but I have yet to find any closer than that. https://rstyle.me/n/c2da65zdwn

Gray slipcover will, i thought something was different but could not figure it out. You are sneaky love those pretty peonies and they really make a space feel like spring.

Peonies are my fave, too! And … Sure hope your snow clears quickly! (Heard it was 18″!)
Would you mind sharing where you got that gorgeous grey sofa? I love the lighter color, and still prefer the deeper, comfy styles, but I am ready to move away from an all-white look … ! I’ve had the clean, mid-century look and much prefer the thicker cushioned, much more comfortable pieces!
Thanks, Bre!

Thank you so much Kathleen! The sofa is actually my white slip covered sofa, I just recently had a gray slip cover made for it ๐ I’m getting ready to share all about it, but my current sofa can be bought in a gray slipcover instead of the white. Here is the link – https://rstyle.me/n/czr9g5zdwn

Peonies! And a gray couch! Looks so good. I’m in Texas so spring is here and I could NOT be happier. It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
