Hello Friends! I have been working on a secret project lately, that I can’t wait to share with you soon. Until then, I have been loving the look of dark accent walls, and I thought I would share some of my favorites with you. I think I love dark accent walls just as much as I love white walls, and I also believe that every home should have at least one dark wall, if not a whole room 🙂
Even though in my own home I have mostly light colors throughout, my home office / laundry room has dark walls. 
I painted it Wescott Navy by Benjamin Moore a few years ago, and still love it. And more recently when we remodeled our downstairs bathroom last year, I chose Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams for the bottom part of our walls.
I just got finished painting another room in our house a dark color, and I can’t wait to share it with you! Honestly I love painting, and most of the rooms in our house are fairly easy to tackle, so it’s not surprising at all for my husband to come home and find I’ve completely repainted a room or two while he was at work for the day!

What are your thoughts one dark accent walls? Or dark paint for that matter? Do you love them, or do you find yourself more driven towards lighter colors? Either way, I hope you are inspired, and also know that dark colors have a cozy effect on rooms.

I love the look too. I painted our office dark gray, it looked really beautiful with the wood trim and floors. But I didn’t get to enjoy it because we did it as the last project when we were selling the house! I lived with it looking ugly for 16 years…I wish I painted it sooner but there was so much heavy furniture in the room to move.

I love love dark accent walls ! I’ve done forest green on one wall behind a bed and the other three walls a beigggeee color it was fantastic. Love seeing your ideas.
Dark walls are elegant and warm…I have all light walls in greys…..But I have used darker greys on my inside doors….I love how we can paint whatever mood we are in in our journey of life….My husband says our house use to have more square footage But I have painted so much it is smaller….Inexpensive way to make a big change…Love your posts…You are extremely gifted….
I love a wall that’s painted dark, my entree is painted navy. I would like to paint it in a gray and let my grandchildren sign their names, think it would be cute.
I love the grays. Beautiful. I even love a dark ceiling if the room is right.
