Hello Friends, and happy Monday!! I’m so excited to be joining in with some friends today for a little look around our home. Spring finally hit us last week. Like finally. It’s my favorite couple of weeks, and I’m not quite sure if I love it more than fall ( I think I do), because with everything starting to bloom, it feels so magical. It’s the best reward after a long winter, and the anticipation and excitement each tiny bud brings is a reminder of lazy summer days ahead.
We also have a few birthdays in the house, so spring brings on the excitement in celebrating my sons and my birthday that are only a day apart. It was such a treat last week, not only to celebrate our birthdays, but get out and enjoy some warmer days and springs arrival. I got some beautiful white tulips for my birthday, so I took some shots around our living room I’m sharing with you today, because who doesn’t love beautiful flowers, especially when they are celebrating your birthday!
White flowers are my favorite! And I love arranging a large bunch of the same flower in a simple vase. My friend surprised me with these beautiful tulips on my birthday. I think it’s safe to say she knows me well 🙂
Even though I keep things pretty neutral around our house, I love bringing in a pop of blue for summer. I don’t know why, maybe it’s the coastal reference, but that pop of blue just screams summer to me.
In case you missed it, or if you are new around here – this past winter I swapped out my white slipcovers for some custom gray slipcovers for our sofa. You can read all about it HERE, just in case you have ever wondered about slip covers, or where to get ones that fit your furniture perfectly!
I love this view from our living room looking into our dining room, which you see below. I’ve shared before how these half walls with the columns were one of my favorite features about the house when we look at it. I loved the character it has, and that our main floor has an open flow, which isn’t very typical of houses built in the 1800’s.
I shared our Spring Dining Room HERE. In general I keep things pretty neutral, with subtle pops of green sprinkled around.
We recently just wrapped up remodeling our master bathroom. In case you missed it, you can see the full reveal HERE.
It was quite the transformation. Including gutting out some walls, and a chimney, and removing basically everything but the toilet. The main focus was adding charm and character back into the space, and focusing on all those little details that make a big impact!
I can’t say enough how good it feels, to finally open up the windows and feel that warm breeze! We’ve begun working on some outdoor projects, I can’t wait to share with you. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have caught my sneak peak, I’ll be sharing more this week about our landscaping plans for around our barn, and in case you missed it, I shared some other landscaping plans we have for our yard HERE.
Be sure to stop by and visit my friends who are joining me today!!
