I don’t know if it’s celebrating each season, or the anticipation of the seasonal change right around the corner, but I find myself being drawn to certain things, or pieces at different times throughout the year. Not as generic as lets say pumpkin spice everything come fall, or coconut smelling soaps and lotions in the summer. No this varies from season to season, and changes throughout the mood. I shared in my first post of Currently Loving that sometimes these things don’t have a specific category they fall into, or a designated blog post. I just wanted a place to share what currently has me swooning, and perhaps at the same time it will have you swooning too. Nope this is just a light hearted, what I’m currently loving right now kind of post!
- This Porch – found HERE. It looks like our big porch makeover I was hoping to get done this year is going to have to wait until the spring. I’m bummed, but hopeful we can turn it into something beautiful, and this photo above is my #1 photo for inspiration.
2. This Bedroom Makeover – found HERE on the Gold Hive
Ok, where do I even begin?! I highly recommend you visiting the Gold Hive blog to see all the progress that went into the transformation of her master bedroom, but seriously there is so much to love! The wall color, the bed linens, the antique rug. You have got to check it out!
3. Navy Blue Cedar Shakes – found HERE
While we were in Maine on vacation a few weeks ago, I became completely smitten with a home that had navy blue cedar shakes, just like the one in the photo above. It was so striking. A classic beauty with a modern twist, and I think I have the hubby dreaming of navy blue cedar shakes for our next home as much as I am. What do you think? Are you a fan too?
4. Velvet Curtains – shown HERE from Jenna Sue Design
I have been loving velvet curtains silently for the last few years. Pottery Barn has some gorgeous gray ones that have my heart, but these pretty emerald ones add such a luxurious feel to this master bedroom. This bold choice certainly pays off in the design scheme, and I’m forecasting now that this rich hue is totally catching my eye for a fall and winter color choice!
5. This Throw Pillow – found HERE
I love the texture this modern bohemian throw pillow has, with it’s woven stripes and fun tassels on each curtain. I like the mix up the striped pattern adds too, keeping it fun and fresh! Trust me, it’s in my cart already 🙂
6. Concrete Planters – found HERE
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall – I am loving the look of these modern square concrete planters. The clean lines are giving me all the heart eyes, while their perfectly worn in patina give it just the color I love!
My life has been changed by this book! I am new to Rachel Hollis, but this mom-entrapenaur has me all kinds of inspired and making me think that my BIG dreams can actually become a reality. If you dream of doing something BIG, or perhaps have believed the lies before that you are not good enough, not qualified, too old, too young, too whatever, than this is the book for you!! I’ve been doing a lot of driving this summer, so listening to it on audible was such a lifesaver!
8. Decorating for Fall –
We may still be in August, but the itch for fall is becoming stronger and stronger as the days go by. We have 2 more weeks before school starts, and typically by then, I am in full blown all things fall, regardless of what the outside temperature is.
You can see last years Fall Home Tour – HERE, And I know, it may be too soon for some, but friends our leaves up north are already peaking out in bright orange and red. Not everywhere yet, but it’s safe to say it will be here before we know it!
That’s it for now, what I’m currently loving. I hope you are enjoying your summer, thanks for being here! Truly I mean it, this blog would not exist without you, and I feel truly honored to be able to share my passions with you on this tiny corner of the internet!!

That is a great porch and am looking forward to seeing yours. Velvet curtains or pillows would be so cozy and luxurious, i think. Great list.

When it’s 90 degrees outside and the humidity matches the temperature, it’s hard to think fall. However, when the sun is setting at “that angle”, and I’m standing inside my air-conditioned house looking out the window, I can imagine pumpkins and cider. It gives my Southerner heart hope! I do love the changing seasons.
