Is your mouth drooling just from that title? Salted Caramel Apple Cider Margarita? Then I’m going to assume if it is we would be friends. Not just friends, but the kind of friends whose mouths start to drool over words like “salted caramel” and “apple cider”, because we get it. And if you aren’t that’s ok, I’m still glad you’re here too! One thing I don’t share that often on the blog is recipe, but friends I am a foodie at heart! And while I don’t always share my passion for food here on the blog, I am the kind of girl who goes into a restaurant and looks at what they are serving for dessert FIRST! Then I will decide on what I am going to eat for my main meal. I bet you also didn’t know that I used to be a bartender?
It’s also our last installment in Seasonal Simplicity Fall Series and today I’m excited to be joining a group of 25 other bloggers who are also sharing a fabulous fall recipe with you today!
Yep it’s true. I’ve actually worked in food service for over 10 years, and the last 4 I was a bartender all the way up until I was 9 months preggo with my son. It’s true! I used to waddle my way around behind the bar, and knock over bottles with my 9 month pregnant belly, but man would I get the best tips! Who would have thought, HA!
Every fall, the restaurant I worked for would roll out their seasonal specials, and one of my favorites was always the apple cider margarita! I love margarita’s to begin with, so this just combined my favorite drink, with my favorite seasonal drink! WIN – WIN! So today I’m sharing my favorite fall margarita with you, along with a delicious twist – salted caramel!
Salted Caramel Apple Cider Margarita
- 3 parts Apple cider
- 1 part hard cider
- 1 part tequila
- 1/2 part triple sec
- 1/2 part salted caramel
- 3 teaspoons sugar, for rim
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, for rim
- lime wedge
- Blend together cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Rub lime wedge around rim of glass and dip in cinnamon and sugar mixture to coat rim.
2. Pour tequila, apple cider, hard cider, triple sec and salted caramel in a shaker with ice. Shake well and pour into glasses.
**Tip** If I’m making for a crowd, I will pour ingredients into a pitcher, store well, and then shake individual servings in the shaker with ice, so it stays fresh, and easier to make multiple drinks.ย
I’ll be back tomorrow to share more of this fall styled bar cart with you. You can see how I styled it for summer HERE. In the meantime hop around to see what other delicious ideas they’ve come up with…
