I think it’s no secret around here that I love decorating with trees for Christmas. Like trees of all kinds, full size, table top, mercury glass, and especially bottle brush trees!! I love their cute petite size, and the texture they add, but most of all it’s their whimsical feel that has me loving the festive touch the add to just about any surface. They are so versatile and can be used just about anywhere, maybe that’s why I love them so much!! So I’ve rounded up some of my favorite photos from past years of decorating with bottle brush trees for Christmas, and sharing a few of my favorite places I like to scoop this tiny trees up!
Of course if you saw our kitchen shelves decorated for Christmas this past week, than you know they are my go to choice when it comes time to decorate my shelves in the kitchen. I even made this sweet little DIY bottle brush garland using mini bottle brush trees and bakers twine, that I’ve hung from our shelves in years past.
I just tied the twine around the base of the trees and spaced them out about a 1 1/2 inches apart from each other. I even made a smaller one and hung it on the shelves in my office last year as well.
I love using them on shelves, because of their size they can fit just about anywhere. The built ins in our living room are a perfect place to place a few throughout, but I learned last year, I have to keep them just out of reach from the dog, because apparently she likes to use them as a chew toy!
I scooped up these fun green colored ones at HomeGoods last year too. I love the wooden slice base and fatter shape. I’m undecided where I will use them this year, but last year I incorporated them in this tablescape you see below.
I also created this tablescape last year, using all white bottle brush trees in a variety of sizes to create a snow covered forest look. It was so magical, I created something similar to this for a mantle scene I’ll be sharing on the blog in a few weeks.
I’ve also grouped some bottle brush trees together to create a little winter scene in other areas throughout our kitchen.
On a vintage scale next to our Keurig, the were the back drop for these sweet little hot cocoa station I created last year.
And using a few on our island, accompanied by some flowers, was one of the ways I added a them as holiday decor in our kitchen.
I have a hard time not letting a few of these jump in my cart every time I see them at the store, so here are a few places I go to find them in stores and online –
