Hello Friends!!! I can’t believe Christmas is in one week! ONE WEEK! My husband and I went out last night to get the last of the stocking stuffers that we need, and other than one more Amazon order to make – we are done! And it feels so good! I can’t believe with Christmas only a week away, we will be ringing in the New Year before you know it! I have reached the age where I’d much rather stay in and party than go out. Sometimes I make it to midnight, lol, but we love having some friends over and ringing the New Year in together. We recently converted this second-hand cabinet into a wet bar, just in time to help us ring in the New Year. Come and take a look!
It’s the perfect spot for entertaining this holiday season, especially for New Years Eve. I styled it to have the perfect blend of festive touches and function!
I placed some poinsettia’s in an ice bucket I recently picked up from HomeGoods for in the meantime, but when we are ready to entertain guests, having ice ready where you are making drinks is super handy.
Not to mention having other tools on hand, like a cutting board for lemons or limes, a muddler, a shaker, and a jigger, at your reach, means you can make multiple drinks at ease.
I utilized the floating shelves above to hold additional serving items sprinkled with a little bit of holiday cheer.
The wooden deer head was a Target find a few years ago, but this year I picked up the tartan plaid serving tray, the house stocking holder and glittery stocking all in the Target Deals spot when you first walk in the store.
The copper mugs were a Marshalls find, and are my go-to place when I’m looking for any copper barware.
The bottom shelf is stocked with different liquors, my shaker, and a jigger, so everything is at reach for making cocktails on New Years Eve.
What I never anticipated before having a designated wet bar area, was how much it frees up the kitchen sink area when it comes to entertaining. People can make drinks without bottlenecking in our kitchen, while cooking and food prep is still going on.
Tomorrow I will be sharing how we turned this thrift store cabinet find into a the festive wet bar area you see today! I can’t wait to share all the details with you!
And today I’m joined by some friends who are also sharing their fabulous New Year’s Eve Entertaining ideas, recipes, and printables with you!

How is that Grapefruit and Rose Kettle One Vodka? I
Just saw it and thought the label was so pretty
But was nervous about its taste.

It’s not bad. I really like grapefruit flavored drinks, like seltzer. I only wish the grapefruit flavor was stronger than the rose’, or it didn’t have the rose’ flavor in it at all. I think that was the only part I wasn’t expecting 🙂
