Hello Friends! I hope your week is going well! I had the incredible opportunity a weeks ago to travel to Carmel, Indiana to visit the Delta Faucet headquarters, along with 7 other influencers / bloggers. I have to be honest, I really had no idea what to expect on this trip, but was thrilled at the chance to be able to go and visit the Delta Faucet headquarters. What I found, was that this company offers so much more than just faucets- at their core, their first priority is the people, and being at their headquarters felt more like one big family gathering.
Instantly we were greeted with the warmest welcome and I knew from that moment that this company was different from the rest. I never worked in a corporate office, but I seriously contemplated making a career switch after being in their headquarters 🙂
They encourage creativity and beautiful design in every facet, and embrace failure, because they recognize that it is a vital part of the creative process, something I found to be so refreshing. I believe that’s why they’ve had great success in leading the way in innovative designs in their industry.
To sit face to face with the Delta engineers and marketing team, and creative designers for the company, hear their process, and talk about design trends was truly amazing, and something I never anticipated experiencing.
Sure I thought we would tour the facility and learn about the company, but to hear the ideas and creative process that goes into the products we use every single day in our homes, was just mind blowing. Not to mention being able to see first hand the latest in designs and technology was fascinating.
Of course it was amazing to touch and see the products, but what I didn’t expect was to learn so much about them. Here are some fun facts I learned, that I think you will love too!
Fun Facts :
- Delta faucet was the first brand to introduce the Touch2O® Technology faucet, and they hold the most patens on it, making their technology incomparable. A simple touch anywhere on the spout or handle with your wrist or forearm activates the flow of water at the temperature where your handle is set. The Delta TempSense® Indicator changes color to alert you to the water’s temperature and eliminate any possible surprises or discomfort.
- They incorporate ShieldSpray® Technology in their pull down faucets, which is a concentrated jet within a protective sphere of water that powers away stubborn messes with an average of 90% less splatter than a standard spray, so you can spend less time soaking, scrubbing, or changing your shirt because it splattered back up at you! I always end up being a victim of that right when I’m in a rush to get out the door :/
- Their pulldown faucets and some dual-operating showerheads also have MagnaTite® Docking, which is a powerful integrated magnet to snap your faucet spray wand precisely into place and hold it there so it stays docked when not in use and doesn’t droop over time.
And now for one of my absolute favorites! Available to the public very soon is VoiceIQ™ Technology. It dispenses exactly the amount of water you need with hands-free voice activation. I got to test this out at their headquarters, and for someone who isn’t really a “techy” I totally geeked out over this! You can command your faucet to turn on and off, warm the water, dispense a metered amount or fill custom containers like your coffee pot, and it can be added to any Touch2O® faucet you already have.
Also, they have a new design line coming out later this year called Broderick. This was a personal favorite of mine because it’s design replicates that vintage farmhouse look I love so much, with a slight industrial feel! I can’t wait to incorporate this into my own kitchen, so be on the lookout for this beauty later this year!
I am forever changed from this trip, and the wonderful people at Delta Faucet, and wish I could have taken each one of you along with me! If you are a regular here on the blog, then you probably remember me saying this before, but I am crazy over details. I’m always the one that is captivated by the details whenever we visit a new restaurant or shop – I think it says a lot about a company. The attention to detail that I experienced while visiting with the folks at Delta Faucet was unprecedented, and I have to say if they put that much attention to detail in their facility, and it’s carried throughout their wonderful employees, I can only imagine how well their products are made.
