Farmhouse Tour Friday {vol. 21}

16 Aug

Hello Friends!! I can’t believe another week has already come and gone! School starts in a week and a half here, and my kiddos are so excited to go back to their familiar stomping ground. I have to be honest, this momma is ready for the structure that our school day routine brings. It’s Friday, and that means another Farmhouse Style | Home Tour, and I have a feeling you might be just as smitten with this farmhouse as I am!

I stumbled upon this gorgeous farmhouse on Instagram, and instantly fell in love. It belongs to Marcie from Design Sixty Five, and they renovated this 1920’s farmhouse into the gorgeous home you see today, in coastal Connecticut.

Honestly, one of the things that drew me right in was her color palette. Of course I love all things white, but I love how she balances it with weathered wood tones, and lots of texture! In my mind that is the key to doing white right!

Living Room

I love how light and airy her living room feels, yet stays grounded with the warm wood floors, the textured chairs, and the reclaimed wood beam fireplace mantle.

In her kitchen, things stay fresh and crisp with tons of natural light, but the antique bronze pendant lights, and wood tones range hood keep it feeling anything but stark.

Kitchen
Dining Room

She carries the same feeling upstairs in the bedrooms as well. Light and airy, but balanced just right with texture to make each room feel welcoming and cozy.

Master Bedroom

I love how coastal her bathroom feels, without going full blown beauty. It’s elegant and simple, so the design details really stand out. Like that gorgeous herringbone marble floor 🙂

If I could take away one tip from Marcie’s house, it would be to not be afraid to repeat the same textures and colors throughout. I think sometimes we fool ourselves into thinking each room / bedroom has to have different pieces. But Marcie’s home is proof, that if you stick to what you love, each room can shine, without feeling overly fussy.

Home Office

I hope you’ve enjoyed Marcies Farmhouse Home Tour as much as I have!
