While I love browsing online in my pj’s and coffee in hand, I also can’t help browsing through the Christmas decor when I go into Target or HomeGoods either. But do you want to know my secret? I start buying NOW, sometimes earlier too! Have you ever gotten to the stores, or seen a beautiful home online, and loved the holiday decor so much, you ask where they got something and you head straight there only to the shelves empty!

Ugh, I hate it when that happens. Just like the saying is true when you head out to hit up some local yard sales, so is the saying true when it comes to scooping up that favorite Christmas decor item you’ve had your eye on since last year – shop EARLY!

Now, I’m not talking about rushing the season along, but I have been known to scoop up a Christmas decor item as early as September, and then when I get home I just tuck it in a closet until it’s time to take it out. But I’ve learned over the years that if I really want something, I need to shop early to get it.
