Christmas is next week!! And that means that we will be ringing in the New Year before you know it! A few years ago we started celebrating New Years Even in, and having my sister and her family over. We play games and the kids have a karaoke sing off until it’s time to watch the ball drop! It has totally replaced any need to go out and celebrate. So while we stay in there are a few things I like to do to still make it feel special. One of them is styling our bar cart so it’s ready with a champagne toast to ring in the New Year.

My favorite thing about setting up a bar cart for drinks, is you really don’t need that much space, and it’s so convenient to have ready to go for when guests arrive, and they can help themselves to drinks whenever they like.

Here, I stocked up on a variety of different champagnes, and some sparkling white grape juice for the younger crowd as well. This way everyone can choose whichever drink strikes their fancy.
I love having mini bottles on hand too. They are the perfect single serving size, and honestly your guests will love having their own (mini) bottle of champagne as well!
Keeping extra glasses out is also super handy. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve lost track of whose glass is whose, only to end up needing a fresh one. I always keep some extra glasses on hand just in case we end up needing them. This is also helpful for guests to be able to pour their own drinks, and less running around for you.
To help ring in the New Year, I love to decorate our bar cart with a few simple touches to keep things festive.
First I draped my favorite faux garland (this one from Terrain, found HERE) across the front. I love using this real life looking faux garland, because it instantly adds some texture, without the mess of pine needles falling everywhere.
Then I added some paper orb ornaments. The white ones I got from H&M last year, a similar pack found HERE. And the larger gray and green ones I picked up while I was at Purple Rose Home holiday ladies night last month.

Then I hung my favorite “Our Crew” banner from Truth & Co. Ringing in the new year with family is a great way to celebrate, especially the ones we hold closest. I love that our kids feel extra loved as we celebrate ringing in the New Year with them.
