Hello Friends! Today I thought it would be fun to share with you my top 5 most asked for questions about our home! These are the items that when I share photos of our home on social media, or in home tours, people are wanting to where they can find these items too. So I thought it would be fun to round them up, into one easy to find post, and who knows maybe you’ve been wondering where these items are from too?! So in no particular order, here are the top 5 sources people ask for most.

White Slipcovers on our Sofa
Our sofa came with slipcovers on it. Whenever I’m looking at furniture, I always include the word “slipcover” in my search. However, one thing I failed to notice when finalizing our sofa selection, what that the slipcover it came with was NOT machine washable. Which is fine if you only plan to spot treat your sofa, but I LOVE to be able to throw all my slipcovers in the wash and get everything nice and clean. It’s like getting a brand new sofa everytime you wash them.
Our sofa does come in other colors, found HERE, but white has always been my favorite. Thankfully I found a company that makes custom slipcovers for any type of furniture, with the most reasonable prices. Comfort Works. I partnered with them when I swapped out our white slipcovers for gray slipcovers, and was so impressed with the quality and my experience, that I purchased new white slipcovers to update my old worn out ones. It’s been a few years, and I have washed them multiple times without any issue. Plus I like knowing that I can go back and order more, or a different color if I ever feel like changing things up!

Round Wooden Mirror
It’s hard to imagine our living room without this round wooden mirror hanging behind it, as I feel it has become a staple in any of the photos of my living room.
Here is what our living room looked like BEFORE the round mirror.
In my quest to make our living room more neutral, I switched out the pieces that had bold colors and patterns, and instead focused on adding layers, and wood-toned pieces that would add warmth. I found the mirror while browsing one day at HomeGoods, and had no idea where I was going to hang it, it was just love at first sight, so home with me it came. And we’ve been together ever since :p
What Paint Color is our Dining Room
I shared how I had been wanting to paint our dining room a darker paint color for over a year. I’m not sure why I waited so long, it’s only paint after all. But after all that waiting, I’m still so happy with the result. I shared HERE the progress of deciding between different shades of gray and navy blue.
I knew the moment I painted a tiny sample up on the walls that Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams was the winner. It’s color I had painted in our downstairs bath, and on our island for a little while. Depending on the daylight it has hints of charcoal gray and navy blue, but not too navy blue like Hale Navy can bring out. You can see the full reveal HERE, or click below to see all the paint colors in our house, including what color our dining room was painted before.
Paint Colors in our Home
Hardwood Floors in the Living Room
The hardwood floors in our living room are the original hardwood floors from when our house was built in 1846. They are 2″ width, and unfortunately I have no information on the stain color, as it was done this way when we bought the house. They do continue up the stairs, and are also in our sons bedroom, and if I had to guess I would say the color is closest to a walnut stain, because of the warm undertones, but it definitely fares to the darker side of a mocha.
The most similar ones I’ve see to this style can be found HERE, in mocha.
What Paint Color is our Front Door
Two years ago I was on the hunt for the perfect paint color for our exterior doors. I wanted a mix between charcoal and black, but not too gray, with a hint of navy in it, but not too blue. Sounds easy right?! I also had to take into consideration how the color would look in direct sunlight, and at times when it was in full shade, because all 3 of our exterior doors experience a variation of sunlight throughout the day. After testing a few different colors out, I finally found that Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore fit all the criteria.
Above you can see what our front door looks like when the door is open in the living room. And below you can see what our two exterior doors look like off the kitchen. The porch and the back door.
I’m so happy with this color, and have no plan on changing it anytime soon!

Thanks for the info on the slipcovers! Your home is absolutely beautiful. Our styles are very similar. I love a black door. It really pops! ❤️
