Hello Friends!! It’s no secret that we love to spend time in our outdoor living spaces. Over the past 4 years we’ve really focused on making them spaces that draw you outside, wanting to spend all day in the warm summer air. This weekend always feels like the official kick-off to summer, and even though our temps have been a bit colder, I am finally ready to get our outdoor spaces ready for the summer. Over the past few years I’ve found some things that are definitely essential in making our outdoor spaces more comfortable, so today I’m sharing some of my favorite landscaping and patio essentials!
Come and see ~
I shared our outdoor patio space before HERE and HERE, and of course the original transformation of it HERE. You can also see how we installed our gravel patio, when we extended it around our barn a couple summers ago HERE. But today, I’m sharing with you some of our favorite pieces, that definitely get their fair share of use during the summer months.
Our black adirondack chairs are definitely one of them. They fold, which makes them easy to store away in the barn for the winter, and I’ve been so impressed my how they have held up over the years.
Another patio favorite is THIS TEAK POTTING TABLE.
It’s the perfect size to hold my potting essentials for planting, but it also serves as a buffet table when we are entertaining on our patio. It provides the perfect place to create a drink station, with room to hold bottled beverages below as well.
Recently I’ve incorporated a few of THESE GARDEN TRELLIS’, and I love how they look around our yard. They add more of a “finishing touch” to different spaces around our yard, and it was just the added touch that we were missing.
And of course our patio wouldn’t be complete with out THESE STRING LIGHTS! They light up our entire area casting the perfect glow, making it easy to stay outside well into the night.
Some of my other favorite furniture pieces include THIS BENCH we have on our farmers porch. It’s the perfect size, deep enough to sit, but not too large that it’s in the way when you walk past it. My favorite detail about it is the turned legs. They add so much character, and to me resembled something a bit more vintage, which I love!
You can find this little metal side table in my Amazon Storefront! It can be used indoor, or outdoor under a covered area. I love the slender size it has, making it easy to nestle into small spaces.
Some of my other porch favorites include THESE HANGING BASKETS, THIS WELCOME SIGN, and THIS FARMHOUSE SCONCE (pictured below).

Love it..we are getting ready to tear out an old rotten wooden deck from previous owner and want to install a stone area with a fire pit.
Your “how to” is very helpful.
Thank you..enjoy
