Hello friends! I can’t believe that the 4th of July is already this weekend! In one hand I feel like summer has finally arrived here in New England when the 4th of July hits, and our temperatures stay warm, and on the other hand it reminds me that summer is halfway over. However you are celebrating the 4th this year, I’ve rounded up my favorite red, white and blue outdoor decor for a simple way to decorate to help things feel a bit more festive!
Come and see ~
It doesn’t take too much to add a patriotic feel here or there. I picked up these smaller American flags for $1 a piece, and love tucking them in to planters, or around our outdoor spaces.
They work great too for adding a touch of red, white & blue to the food table as well ~
Don’t forget that picking foods in the same color, is a great way to coordinate with your patriotic decor. Fresh bowls of fruit is one of my favorite ways to do this.
To keep things simple, try just adding a pop of color, instead of a full on red, white and blue theme. Vintage plates (shown above) with a red and white pattern, or a red and white buffalo check napkin (shown below) add a great pop of color and still incorporate that patriotic feel.
As a kid I always used to love going to the beach in the summer and all the coastal towns would put out their American flags. Every store front and shop had one, and the lined the streets. Maybe that’s the nostalgic feeling I get when I see an American flag in the summer.
