Hello Friends!
If you follow me on social media, then you may have seen that this past Thursday I had one of my first live workshop events on FaceBook, and it was a BLAST! I shared how I make one of my favorite pumpkin centerpieces, for one of my first LIVE workshop events that I have planned for this year, with three more scheduled to help you decorate your home for the holidays. I love being able to share decorating ideas here on the blog, but there is something so different about being able to have you join me in a LIVE as if you were standing right along side me.
Want to see the pumpkin centerpiece I made?
If you are a long time blog reader, then you may remember me hinting that I was working on being able to provide content in a new way. While I love blogging, and sharing my decorating ideas with you in posts with photos and written context, there were always times where I felt like I wanted to be able to share more or go deeper into a tutorial than a written post would allow me. I wanted to be able to make my written blog post come alive, and have a way where I could interact with you more.
I had started doing a few local workshops around the southern New England area, and it was so fun to be able to have workshop events in person. Then Covid hit, and any future events I had scheduled came to a screeching halt. I resorted to Instagram stories, sharing tutorials, but that got tricky because sometimes the stories wouldn’t always load, or I would get cut off, and to be honest it’s tricky to film yourself and give a hands on tutorial at the same time. I felt limited in what I could provide via video, but in my heart I knew I was wanting to provide something more.
I love how God works though! He knew that I still had the desire in my heart to be able to share things through video, even though I didn’t have the skills to create my own videos with the same quality of my photos you see here on my blog. I kept feeling the nudge to pursue the idea of creating content with video but just felt stuck, knowing that I lacked the skills for I envisioned seeing. But God had bigger plans…
After feeling this persistent nudge for months, I finally started praying and asked God to bring me the people I would need that could make this dream a reality. And after months of praying, and surrendering this dream to Him, an old friend from church reached out, just “out of the blue”. It was so random, but aligned completely with what I had been praying for, and I just knew it was God.
Turns out he and another close friend were starting their own media based production company and he wanted to know what kind of projects I was working on, and if I had anything in the future that would involve the need of video.
This is also the same team who helped me film our video announcement that we were moving, helped me launch my YouTube channel, and now we are working on LIVE Workshop Events!
The idea behind the LIVE Workshop Events is to bring to life some of my favorite decorating ideas and tutorials to life. In a way that feels tangible and doable in your own homes. By doing the workshops LIVE, I can answer your questions on the spot, and you can watch in real time how some of my favorite DIY decorating staples come to life and take shape – like seasonal floral arrangements, vignettes, wreaths, garlands and more!
You can still catch Thursdays LIVE workshop on my FaceBook page now, but it won’t be up for too much longer.
Like any new thing you start, there are still kinks we are working out, still tweaking we want to do, but we are so excited to be able to just start, and provide content this way. As I mentioned in the beginning of the post, we have 3 more scheduled through the rest of this year, and working on some exciting new things for next year too, so Stay Tuned because I will be sure to share more soon!

Loved this workshop, Bre! I just watched it Monday night as I couldn’t watch it live. Thanks for making this available and for your good instruction.
