Hello Friends!
I hope your New Year is off to a wonderful start! I have been taking things slow over here, which may be a little bit of an understatement. Once the dust from the holidays settles I like to take my time to ease back into things. Soak in the quietness, or the stillness that the month of January has to offer. Embrace the winter season, and all the refreshment it has to offer. Now before you think I’m nuts, embracing winter and all, I’ve been collecting my thoughts on this, and plan to share in a post very soon! But for now, as I embrace this current season, I thought it would be fun to share some of the things that I’m currently loving. I’ve shared a few of these posts in the past, and it’s always fun to share some of things that have recently caught my eye, or I find myself not wanting to live without. In no particular order, and without rhyme or reason, here is what I’m currently loving this season.
Here we go! ~
Currently Loving …. this puzzle! I don’t know about you, but I love doing puzzles in the winter. It’s one of my favorite winter activities, and this beautiful design from Rifle Paper Co. is giving me all the heart eyes.
What I’m reading …. this book, “When Strivings Cease” by Ruth Chou Simons. I originally downloaded this on Audible, and after listening to the introduction I was hooked. By the end of the first chapter, I purchased the book – because is this one friends you are going to want to take notes on. And underline, and pause to digest, and go back and read again! In fact, I loved Ruth’s heart message so much I purchased the devotional that goes along with it because I wanted to be able to go as deep as I possibly could, and get some of my own heart work in.
Currently Loving …. these clear organizing containers. Because after all it is January, and it’s operation organize ALL the cabinets in the house! I just organized all my tea in this one, and it opened up half of a drawer, where the tea boxes took up so much more room.
Currently Loving …. this paint color. Walls, trim and built ins that are all painted the same color. This is such a beautiful color that feels on trend, while remaining timeless all the same. The paint color is Rainy Afternoon by: Benjamin Moore, and it has me trying to figure out where in our home I can incorporate this muted grey / green / blue.
Currently Loving …. these potholders from the new Hearth and Hand line at Target, along with all the other blue ticking stripe kitchen linens. I don’t know about you, but sometimes my kitchen textiles are the last on my list to get replaced, and these crisp blue and white ones are reminding me it’s time for new potholders, lol!
Currently Loving …. faux stems. Because winter is long, and realistic looking faux greenery is giving me life right now. There is nothing I love more than walking out in our yard in the summer months and clipping real branches, but right now while everything is still bare and covered in snow, I go for a good realistic looking faux. I pulled all of my faux stems out of storage yesterday, and started spreading them throughout each room. The house feels so much better now.

Currently Loving …. this show. Magnolia Network is now on TV, and with it brings this instant favorite – The Lost Kitchen. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s filmed in Maine, and seeing New England scenery instantly feels nostalgic, or if it’s Erin’s genuine approach to running her business and helping her community along with it. The feelings she wishes to encompass with every meal is so captivating, not to mention her beautiful restaurant.
Currently wearing … this hat. I’m not gonna lie, I got this hat for Christmas in the gray, and I’m obsessed!! It’s the softest, warmest hat, and who doesn’t love a good beanie in the winter. I’ve already got the same hat but in green and black sitting in my Amazon cart as we speak 🙂

Ohhhh, I am most definitely going to check out that book. And you’ve got me wondering where I can use that gorgeous paint color! I learned about The Lost Kitchen awhile back and have read about the owner’s story. Everything about it is inspirational. Dinner there could easily be a bucket list item.

I have known about Erin French and her lost Kitchen for many years and always wanted to go for dinner at her restaurant so still trying. I was so glad she finally wrote her own story and it’s an amazing one. Thanks for reminding me about her show on the Magnolia network
