Hello Friends!!
Today I’m sharing our living room decorated for Christmas. This year I chose to only bring out my absolute favorite pieces, that also complimented the neutral decor we have in our living room. Little bits of my favorite winter greens tucked in and around our living room make things feel extra festive without requiring a ton of work. I brought out my favorite white ornaments, a few table top trees, a few bottle brush trees, which all set the perfect back drop for our Christmas tree to take centerstage.
Come and Take a Look ~
One of my decorating staples, in any season, is adding seasonal flowers or greens into my rooms. For Christmas one of my favorite things to do is add cedar branches and sprigs of juniper. Whether I’m using real of faux I love to tuck them in vases or bowls topped with ornaments. Over picture frames, or draped along the top of bookcases. I love decorating with winter greens, because they can stay out long after the holidays too!
I kept things simple on our coffee table by stacking a few books with a trio of trees – one vintage, the others from Target, in different heights, but all in neutral shades. Using a bowl I already had, I tucked in some faux cedar stems (found HERE), and faux juniper stems (found HERE) along the outer edge of the bowl, and then filled the middle with some of my favorite ornaments.
This is our second year with this 7.5′ pre-lit tree from Amazon, and I love how easy it is to set up, and how it holds it’s shape. It’s not too bulky, but fills in this spot perfectly to make a statement.
Bottle brush trees are probably one of my favorite things to decorate with at Christmas. I’m not quite sure what it is about them that I love so much, but they put a smile on my face the moment I open the boxes they’ve been stored in. I loved these bottle brush trees I got from Magnolia last year, I couldn’t wait to take them out again this year.
I scattered them along the console table in our living room, using the tallest trees on either end. I filled in around them with some faux garland, and a few other woodland accents to complete this vignette.

I love how cozy our living room feels all decorated for Christmas. It feels festive, yet simple, and that feels perfect for me. I love the nostalgia of seeing just me favorite Christmas decorations. Pieces I’ve collected over the years, or were handed down from my mom or my grandma. Pieces that me kids also look forward to seeing this time of year. It fills our home with a sense of warmth and familiarity, and that is exactly how I think our homes should feel during the holidays.
