The hutch in our dining room is one of my favorite places to add a few seasonal touches marking the beginning of a new season. Every Christmas it’s the first spot I decorate adding miniature houses and tiny bottle brush trees. After the holidays are over, I remove anything that feels too “christmas-y”, I wipe everything down and display my favorite serving pieces I’ve collected over the years. Then once spring arrives I’m ready to add some pops of greenery back into my hutch. It always adds a breath of fresh air back into our dining room, so today I’m sharing how I styled our hutch for spring.

To this day, this hutch I scored off of FaceBook Marketplace has to be my greatest find yet! It sits on a large wall in our dining room creating the perfect focal point at the end of our dining room table. The drawers house my table linens and taper candles, so that I’m ready to set the table at a moments notice. On the open shelves I get to display all of my favorite serverware, along with a few extra pieces that add a seasonal touch.
Our spring has felt a little delayed in arriving this year, so while I patiently wait for the branches in our yard to start flowering, a galvanized bucket full of faux crabapple branches tide me over. I love the impact it adds to our hutch, making the perfect statement for spring.
I pulled our a few new dish towels I recently purchased from JSH Home Essentials. Even though hydrangeas are typically known for being a summer flower, the soft color palette used on the linens and the delicate flower petals reminded me of spring. Plus they were too pretty to be tucked away in a drawer, so I draped them in a few areas around our hutch to add a softer touch.
I thought I was done until I remembered these two bunnies I picked up last year from the Target value spot. You may remember I used them in one of my Spring Centerpiece Ideas (shared HERE). They were just what was missing in our spring styled hutch.
I realized in the beginning of this year that I forgot to share how I refinished this hutch I found on FB Marketplace, so up next I will be sharing the full tutorial! I promise — the wait will finally be over! In case you haven’t seen, here is what the hutch looked like BEFORE.

Can’t wait for this tutorial because we have several pieces of “orange” furniture I’d love to get rid of!! Funny how that color stain was so popular “back in the day! Thank you for the upcoming info !!
Love the eye and ability you have for your home!💕
