Decorating with Faux Stems : My Favorite Realistic Faux Flowers for 2026

Hi Friends!!

A few years ago, I shared how much I enjoy decorating with faux stems around our home. While I’ll always love fresh flowers when they’re in season, faux stems have quietly become one of my favorite decorating tools, especially to help me bridge the gap when Spring hasn’t quite yet arrived. I’m often asked where my faux stems are from, and the truth is, many of them I’ve had for close to ten years now. It’s proof that when you invest in good quality faux stems, they can last season after season and year after year. While I still use many of those original stems today, I’ve also discovered some beautiful new additions recently. If you’re looking for realistic faux stems for decorating your home, these are my current favorites for 2026.

Over the past year, faux florals have gotten even better. The newest stems have more natural color variation, softer textures, and flexible branches that mimic the way real stems move in a vase. Some are even labeled “real touch,” meaning the petals and leaves are designed to feel like real flowers. I recently shared my thoughts about this on Instagram, showing some of the new ones I picked up this year.

Favorite Faux Stems 2026

New to the collection this year, I added these beautiful cherry blossom branches, found HERE. I’ve had a similar version I found at Marshalls years ago, and I still love them, but they are covered with more white flowers, feeling a little more spring/summer. (You can see how I used them in my Spring Hutch HERE). I love that these new ones have a more bare-branched look, feeling more like early spring to me.

Another new one I added to my collection was this five-pack of ficus stems, found HERE. I like them because they have a wire base that allows you to bend and shape the branches all the way down to the tip. They are also more bare-branched-looking than any of my other faux green stems, which gives me a different styling look.

Favorite Faux Drop-In Plants

A returning favorite for me are these faux fern drop-in plants that I’ve had for years. They’ve become a staple in our home every spring—and truthfully, they usually stay out all summer long as well. I love using them on side tables, perched on top of a stack of books for a little pop of green, tucked into my dining room hutch, or even in our half bath. They’re incredibly versatile and easy to move around, making them one of those pieces that work beautifully in almost any room of the house.

Honorable Mention

While I haven’t been able to find the exact faux paperwhite bulbs I originally purchased from Magnolia years ago, they remain a spring staple in our home. In fact, I’ve even incorporated them into my Christmas decorating in the past since paperwhites are often considered a holiday flower as well (seen HERE). They’re always the stems I’m most excited to pull out of storage each year.

You can style them individually in small pots or vases, or group several together in a larger bowl or urn for a fuller arrangement. The realistic-looking faux bulbs add such a charming detail and feel like a sweet nod to the start of spring. While these exact ones are no longer available, I’ve found a few similar options and linked them below. You can also browse more in my Amazon storefront.
