I think it's no secret that I love setting the table. Oh if my grandma could hear me know, because I used to roll my eyes every time she would ask me to when I was a kid - sorry gram! Perhaps if only she worded in such a way that had me believing I was creating a tablescape I would have been more interested back then. But you know what, I think tablescape can feel like a fancy word sometimes, when in reality I'm just over here setting the table, trying to remember which side of the plates the forks go on - it's the left by the way :) This tablescape I created around my cinderella pumpkin in yesterdays blog post just stemmed from a place of setting the table, but with a little more attention ... Cinderella Pumpkin Centerpiece | Fall Tablescape
Hello Friends! How is fall going in your neck of the woods. Currently I'm sitting out on our porch looking around, admiring all the beautiful fall foliage. Fall seemed to arrive a little late for us this year, which I'm told was from our very wet summer, and even though the leaves started changing a little bit later than normal, they are in peak show off mode now! Our temps are still mildly warm, as if summer is teasing us, not wanting to leave just yet, but I know it will be too cold to sit outside soon enough. So to celebrate fall in all its' glory, I wanted to share a fall tablescape I created around my beautiful cinderella pumpkin centerpiece I recently made. Let's Gather ~ ... Fall Vignette ’21
Hello Friends! Happy Fall! Now that we are officially in fall, and our temps here in New England are starting to feel like fall I feel like I can say that fully with all the excitement of being in a new season! I have to be honest though, my decorating for fall has been very slow going this year. I don't know if it's just because I am choosing to intentionally slow down and enjoy all the season has to offer - including the pumpkin spice chocolate covered coffee beans from Trader Joes - YUM! I pulled out my fall decor bin 2 weeks ago, but have yet to finish, or dare I say really pull any of the decor out, LOL! So in an effort to put a little fire under my butt and finish my fall ... New Hutch for the Dining Room
Hello Friends! There's a new piece of furniture in our house! One of the things I was most excited about when we moved was being able to have the wall space for bigger pieces of furniture. As much as I loved our old home, and all the windows, there really wasn't any wall space large enough to hold bigger pieces of furniture. Without completely blocking windows or doorways. I've always dreamed of having a farmhouse hutch in our dining room. One big enough to house my inherited china set, and my grandma's silver, so I no longer have to keep them in boxes in the basement. I can't wait for you to see our new hutch for the dining room! Come and check it out ~ ... Read More about New Hutch for the Dining Room
Simple Fall Porch ’21
Hello Friends!! Happy 1st day of Fall!! Even though I have been sipping on some pumpkin spice coffee for a few weeks now, I still can't wait for all the cozy comforts fall brings. I made my first official fall meal this past Sunday - chicken pot pie, and even though our temps haven't quite reached cool enough for sweaters and boots, I'm enjoying the subtle change of seasons none-the-less. Instead of rushing to decorate and then stay in that hurried state of "I can't wait for the next season", I'm taking it slow. Embracing all that fall has to offer. Even though I can't wait for the beautiful display of autumn leaves outside my window, I'm enjoying seeing the slow change as a few trees ... Read More about Simple Fall Porch ’21

Fall Floral Arrangment + Tutorial Video
Hi Friends! I'm sure you've probably heard me say this before, but one of my favorite ways to start the transition of my home decor over to a new season is with flowers. Or branches, or stems, or weeds - lol. Whatever I can get my hands on, that I find inspiring me of the changes taking place in nature outside my window. Of course some of my favorite go-to places to look for unique flowers is Whole Foods, or Trader Joes for their sweet deals on eucalyptus, or that banksia I found last year (remember that?). Honestly though my all time favorite is to grab my clippers, throw on my rain boots and head outside for a stroll through my backyard. I've also been known to pull over at a moments ... The Gift of Home | My NEW Book!
Hello Friends! I am so excited to spill all the details with you today on my NEW book coming out - The Gift of Home. In case you hadn't heard I wrote another book! Can you believe it? I'm still marveling over the first one, and now to have a 2nd book baby coming out into the world - somebody pinch me please, because never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever write a book, let along TWO!! This book also feels a tad sentimental because I wrote it while we were still living in our last house. At the time I was writing it I didn't know just how soon we would be moving, and I feel so thankful to have this keepsake from the house we spent a decade living in and growing our family. ...
