I hope your new year has been off to a great start. Whether you are fully submerged in chasing after those goals that you set at the beginning of the new year, or find yourself slowly trying to establish new habits, I hope that you able to savor some of the stillness that comes with the fresh start of a new year. Before I share my Goals post for this year, and what I’ve been working on, I wanted to share a little recap on 2023 and some encouragement for you!
It has been a little while since I have shared anything with you. Too long in fact! If you are new around here than you might not have noticed my absence, but I ended up taking an extended summer break. I have played out this blog post over and over in my mind of how to start, and what exactly to share, I wanted to give you an update on life, what I’ve been up to, and most importantly what has been on my heart that lead me to quietly slipping away and taking some time off earlier this summer. If we were chatting in person, I imagine we would be sitting face to face in a coffee shop, or curled up on a couch ready to dive deep into conversation. And while I would love to be able to get together with you in real life (maybe someday), today we can virtually curl up, and lean in while we pretend that we are having this conversation in person.

Today I’m answering some of the most asked questions I’ve received about my new book, along with some of my favorite images from the book.
I thought it would be fun to share some of the things that I’m currently loving. I’ve shared a few of these posts in the past, and it’s always fun to share some of things that have recently caught my eye, or I find myself not wanting to live without. In no particular order, and without rhyme or reason, here is what I’m currently loving this season.
book, The Gift of Home, officially releases today! It’s because of you that this day is even a possibility. I started this blog because I truly believe that home is a place you should love to be in, and I wanted everyone to feel that way in their spaces. Even the meaning behind the name I chose for my blog stemmed from knowing that I can decorate my home nicely, without having to break the bank (you can read that story HERE). I have shared so much of the process of creating a spaces to love, through the lens of using my own home with you over the last decade, that to now finally have this message published in my very own book feels like the greatest honor, and I am truly grateful that you helped make this dream a reality. So to celebrate this book release day, I thought I would share more about what’s inside the book.

I shared how I make one of my favorite pumpkin centerpieces, for one of my first LIVE workshop events that I have planned for this year, with three more scheduled to help you decorate your home for the holidays. I love being able to share decorating ideas here on the blog, but there is something so different about being able to have you join me in a LIVE as if you were standing right along side me.
Hello friends!! Well things have certainly been busy over here as we pack up and move out of our beloved home we’ve been in for the last 10 years. It’s bittersweet for sure, and crazy to think that I started my blog shortly after we moved in to document all the changes we had planned for this home! Hello Friends! I am honestly sitting here in shock as I type this. I honestly wasn’t sure if this day would ever happen, and I’ve played it over and over in my mind on how I would announce this, but no matter how many times I tried to think of a catchy title for this announcement, I just keep coming back to the fact that – WE ARE MOVING!! Honestly it still just feels so surreal to even be saying that, but the day has finally come that I get to share this joyous news with all of you!
