Fall Vignette

Hello Friends!! I’m so happy to be joining in another round of the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Series this week, this time sharing our fall decorated mantles or vignettes! Honestly, vignettes are my favorite thing to create – next to Tablescapes that is, I love creating smaller arrangements, and the flexibility to change it up as often as I feel, or leave it that way for months if I like. There is so much flexibility with it, and I like to think it’s the one thing I’ve been doing since I was 13, lol! The dresser turned buffet in our dining room is where I change out my decor seasonally the most. I love clearing it off completely and creating a new vignette every time. For fall I like to keep things pretty simple, stacked pumpkins are my go to, and I love how subtle these muted pumpkins bring in all the feels for fall.

Summer Styled Bar Cart

I’m totally smitten with the bar cart trend that’s been going on, not sure what I’m talking about, just search “bar cart” on Pinterest and you will see an endless scroll of inspiration. There are so many different ways you can utilize a bar cart as well, some for plants, some for craft supplies, and of course some for drinks! I picked up this sweet little bar cart back in March, and have used it in a few areas around my house, and even though it doesn’t have a permanent spot yet I wanted to show you how I styled my bar cart for summer!

As a kid I always used to love going to the beach in the summer and all the coastal towns would put out their American flags. Every store front and shop had one, and the lined the streets. Maybe that’s the nostalgic feeling I get when I see an American flag in the summer. New Countertop in the Kitchen

I’m so excited with how it turned out, and how it feels in our kitchen now! It’s so much brighter, and it truly feels like it was always supposed to be this way. It was worth the wait, I can tell you that. I’ve wanted our island to have this type of of countertop ever since we purchased our home 7 years ago. So if that gives you any indication as to just how excited I truly am, that you get it 😉

If you’ve been following along on the blog, then you know earlier this spring we rented a bobcat and expanded the area around our barn. Hello Friends!! I can’t believe that summer is only seconds away! I say that because we are in our last week of school, summer temps are here… and the humidity, and with it just brings the much needed slowdown to a gentler pace. I’ll be sharing some more of our fire pit area on Wednesday for the last installment of the Seasonal Simplicity tour, and then our new outdoor dining area early next week! I can’t wait for you to see everything that’s we’ve done. In the meantime with all my planting, I wanted to show you my potting bench area and how I have it styled for summer.

Master Bedroom Refresh {and a gift for you!}

Hello Friends!! I’m so excited to be sharing our Master Bedroom refresh with all of you today. I think you could say it spurred off of our recent master bathroom makeover. I’ve joked before that once I have a paintbrush in my hands there is no stopping me, lol! What started out to be a little refresh sort of turned into quite the makeover, and I think you will see why. From new paint, to new lights, to a new mattress with new bedding (yes! a new mattress), even my nightstand ended up getting a total overhaul (shown HERE), nothing was safe. However, I will say that having a newly refreshed master bedroom feels so good, I honestly never want to get out of bed, but more on that soon! You may remember me sharing with you some Dark Accent Wall colors I was loving lately in a post HERE. I had been craving some change for quite some time, and a moody wall. Well what was only going to be just a dark accent wall, turned into a whole room being painted, even the doors and trim! Take a look –
