If you have been following along on moving journey this year, then you know this year I have no shelves to style for Christmas. Our open shelves in our kitchen at our previous home were one of my favorite areas to style for Christmas. In fact it was usually the first place I would start to decorate, and I just loved the added touch the Christmas decor would add to my already favorite spot in the whole kitchen. If you haven’t seen how I styled the shelves in our old kitchen for Christmas, you can check it out HERE. However, this year instead of styling shelves, I have a new hutch to decorate! The hutch in our dining room is all decked out for the holidays, so today I’m showing you how I styled our hutch in the dining room for Christmas.
Christmas Lights at Night Tour
elieve we are less than a week away to Christmas. The kids are counting down the sleeps, and while I still have a few stocking stuffers left to buy, we are all very excited to have our first Christmas in our new home. There is something so magical about the glow of Christmas lights at night around the house. I was walking into the kitchen the other night, and my eyes began to dance around the room from one sparkly set of lights to the next. So today I’m joining up with some blogging friends to show you what our house looks light at night.
Fireplace Holiday Mantle
ur guest room. I almost didn’t share it because it felt almost too “simple” in the terms of Pinterest worthy content, but I was so happy with the impact that just a few simple Christmas decorations can make, I wanted to share it anyways. Your sweet comments showed me that I was on the right track. That we don’t have to go all out to spread a little Christmas cheer, and that my heart for the holidays is to simply welcome people into our home and make them feel loved. You can see the post HERE, in case you missed it, and today I’m sharing how I decorated the fireplace in our kitchen for Christmas! You guys this is the first time I have had an actual fireplace to decorate for the holidays, and it’s a BIG one. I’m so excited for you to see it!
Christmas Decor in the Guest Room
Nothing like a little Christmas Decor to make a room feel more finished! I hadn’t planned on sharing this room with you yet, but I styled this little corner in the guest room we have upstairs, and it just kind of spilled over into me adding more Christmas Decor into this space. I shared the design plan for our guest room downstairs with you all, but did you know that we have a guest room upstairs too?! EEK! I had planned on sharing some of the progress this room has taken with you after the holidays, but I just loved the subtle Christmas decor I added to it so much, I wanted to share it with you all too! So enjoy the first glimpse into our guest room upstairs decorated for Christmas.
Christmas Home Tour | 2021
a long time. It was so fun to open up my bins this year, and pull out my favorites. For this years Christmas decor I stuck with mostly green and white, and some earthy tones. I love how this simple color scheme really allows the greenery to pop I’ve sprinkled throughout our home, and today I’m sharing our Living Room decorated for Christmas.

of emotions as I think about how blessed we are, and how grateful I am to be hosting this holiday in our new home. Ok, enough with the waterworks … I’m also super excited today, because I am joining some blogging friends, and sharing the first bit of our Christmas decor with all of you. I’m even sharing a quick glimpse of our new Christmas tree!
Thanksgiving Tablescape | 2021
Hello Friends!! Happy Thanksgiving!! I can’t believe it is already the week of Thanksgiving ?! The groceries have been bought, the table has been set, and now it’s time to begin all the prep work so that on the actual day I only have to do a few minimal things. This year we are frying our turkey, and my husband is so excited to do this, so now there is even one less thing on my plate for the big day. I will be honest, it feels a little “late” in the blogging world to be sharing a Thanksgiving Tablescape the week of Thanksgiving, but I still wanted to share some inspiration, even if it ends up being for next years table. So today I’m sharing my simple Thanksgiving Tablescape.
Christmas in the Kitchen | 2020
Hello Friends!! Today I’m sharing how I decorated our open shelves in the kitchen! Every year when it’s time to pull the Christmas decor out, I head straight to these shelves in our kitchen. They are my most favorite area to decorate for Christmas in our kitchen, if not our entire house! The past few years I’ve kept things pretty consistent in how I’ve decorated them, each year slightly bette than the one before. However this year I was craving a little change. Like the rest of our Christmas decor this year, I’ve added my new favorite Christmas decor staple to our shelves, and while some things still remain, like boughs of greenery and bottle brush trees, I changed things up ever so slightly this year, and I love how fresh it feels!
My NEW Christmas Decor Favorite
There’s a new favorite in town, and you might have noticed it in my Festive Christmas Tablescape earlier this week 🙂 Or if you’ve seen some of my “behind the scenes” Christmas decorating stories on IG lately? I can’t help it, I’ve been adding it everywhere. Open shelves, my centerpiece, even in the vignette I created on my buffet. It first showed up in the faux garland arrangement I did on the new plank wall in our kitchen, and right away I knew I wanted to add this everywhere.
