Hello Friends!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! To help us all ease into the holiday spirit, I created this whimsical Asymmetrical Holiday Wreath last week, that honestly can be used all winter long. I will be sharing the tutorial for it, here on the blog tomorrow, but thought you might like to see some pretty pictures of it first.
Thanksgiving Tablescape | 2018
I’m so excited to share my thanksgiving tablescape idea with you today, AND I have some fabulous blogging friends joining me! If you know me at all than you know I LOVE creating tablescapes!! I have even been known to declare them as my favorite thing to create – EVER! Honestly Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, it always has been, so I couldn’t let fall pass us by without celebrating my favorite holiday by sharing a Thanksgiving themed tablescape.
Holiday Housewalk 2017
Hello Friends!! Happy Friday! I am so excited to be joining in with all of my friends for the final day of the Holiday Housewalk! I’ve had the joy of participating in the housewalk for the last two years, and I am so excited to be joining in again this year!
Christmas in the Kitchen {2017}
I know that we haven’t hit Thanksgiving yet, and so for some it may seem a bit early, but in an attempt to offer inspiration before you start decorating for Christmas this year, I wanted to share a bit of Christmas decorating I did in our kitchen over the weekend! If you heart is pounding just at reading the word Christmas than I encourage you to check out my Thanksgiving table HERE, or my DIY Pumpkin Centerpiece HERE, just to calm your nerves a bit, and reassure you I haven’t totally skipped over Thanksgiving. I will say that I’m excited to start sprinkling in some Christmas here and there around our house. Once Halloween is over, it’s fair game in this house, and I will tell you my kids are just as excited as I am to start seeing Christmas decorations pop up. Honestly they are thrilled, and just seeing their excitement over “tiny trees” and our “little nativity” mixed in with our “thanksgiving turkey” all exclamations from my son and daughter, just makes the season all the more merrier.
Christmas Lights Night Tour
I had never really taken photos of our home at night before, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but I love how cozy everything feels with the warm glow of the candles and white lights.
Watercolor Advent Calendar {2016}
I shared awhile back on Instagram that I was going to do something completely different for my Advent calendar this year. Not because I didn’t love our wood plank advent calendar from years past, but because I was ready for something a little different. So I took a leap of faith and tried something new, something I had never done before, and created a new watercolor advent calendar.
Christmas Gift Wrap Station
I always like to look for gift wrap that feels one-of-a-kind, and sweet embellishments that make my gifts that much more exciting to open! Who doesn’t?! When I create my tablescapes I always aim for each place setting to feel inviting and special to welcome each guest. I take the same philosophy when it comes to wrapping gifts.
Christmas Entryway with Balsam Hill
I never used to care that much about our entryway before. I will admit, in our early days of decorating our home, I would only focus on the main area we would spend our time in, the living room. And while that’s totally fine for us who spend everyday in our home, I realized I left my guests feeling a bit uninvited until they finally made it into our living room. Our very first apartment was a typical new englander, and we had the second floor, however to enter our house you would come in on the main floor into an entryway, and then climb a giant flight of stairs to a tiny hallway and then enter into our living room. That gave our guests about 25 steps of cold, undecorated, not-cared-about space as my first impression. Yikes! Well thankfully I’ve learned …..
Pecan Pie Bars | Holiday Recipe
I’m so excited to be back today with another installment of Farmhouse Holiday Decor Series. We have one more post in the series after this one, and I’m truly going to be sad to see this Farmhouse style holiday decor series come to an end. Well at least until next year that is. Today we are sharing our holiday recipes and I chose a family favorite dessert. I have to admit, when I was a kids I never understood what the big deal was about pecan pie. I liked pecans, but I just remember thinking as a kid that a pie that tastes like nuts should not be considered a dessert. Thankfully I’ve come to my senses
