Hi friends!! Do you ever have an “AH-HA” moment and wonder why you didn’t think of it before? I was laying in bed the other night, catching up on some IG stories, when I was came across another fellow blogger I love, and she was touring a home that was for sale. She shared the outside of the home before they walked in, and it hit me like a ton of bricks! It was this cute white, cape style home, but the foundation was painted dark. And then the lightbulb moment happened!
Spring Home Tour | 2019
Ohh Spring, that magical time of the year, when the birds start chirping again, and you can feel the warm sunshine on your face, and everywhere you look, you can’t help but smile seeing all the beautiful flower buds covering the trees, and popping up from the ground. It’s such a refreshing sight after a long winter, and even though we might not quite be there here in New England, I love adding touches of Spring around our home, because it builds up anticipation for what’s about to happen outside.
Dining Room {2019}
Our dining room has taken on many looks over the past 8 years since we’ve lived in this house. I’ve shared the progression our dining room took, showing where we started, and how I got it to the space you see today. You can read all about it HERE. Then this past fall I did something I had been pining to do for over a year, and that was to paint it a new darker color for the first time since I originally painted it Wood Smoke when we moved in. It’s been about 5 months, and I’m still loving the new color I chose – Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams. I took some photos the other week, mostly because the only photos I really had with the new color on the walls, our dining room was decorated for a specific seasonal home tour. So to start the year off with a fresh look, here is our dining room for 2019.
Goals for 2019
Each year I like to start things off by writing down some goals I have for the new year. I’ll be sharing more on how I do this personally, but I also set goals for the blog, and projects I want to do around our home. My husband and I joke that the winter is our “Project Season”, but typically it’s because we are cooped up inside due to impending snow. It’s fun to look back on goals I’ve set in past years. We don’t always get to every house goal we have for that year, but that’s ok, they are just goals, so we can shoot again for them the next year too. So here are my goals for 2019 for around our home.

This year it just feels fresh with meaningful touches of Christmas decor spread throughout our house. Come and take a look.Â

Hello Friends and happy Monday!! Fall Living Room 2018 | Seasons of Home
Hello Friends! I’m so excited to be sharing more fall looks around our home today, this time in our living room! I have some very special blogging friends joining me today. part of the Seasons of Home tour series, hosted by Kristen from Ella Claire. I have to tell you I was a little stumped this year when it came to adding fall touches to our living room. I couldn’t settle on a color to bring in or take out. My typical go-to grays just weren’t cutting it for me this time around. I went back to the colors I used in my fall kitchen, and how much I loved those.
