10 Modern Farmhouse Floor Plans I Love

So I had a completely different post scheduled for today, but you know what I just had to share what I have been crushing on lately. I love floor plans! Like guys, I really LOVE floor plans. When I was thirteen, my dad let my sisters and I each pick out our own game for the computer. While my sisters were looking at actual games, in the game section, I searched and search for the perfect software that would allow me to decorate my own house. Unfortunately at that time, they didn’t really have anything close to that available, so I took what I could find. A software program where you could create floor plans, and place furniture in those spaces. My dad looked at me with this puzzled look and asked “if I was sure about this”. And with every bit of confidence I said YES! I couldn’t wait to try it out, lol. So I guess you could say from a very early age I loved looking at floor plans. Planning out the layout for each space, and designing it with the finishing touches in my head. While we aren’t looking to build, or moving for that matter, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes I just get swept up in the mindset of dreaming and “what-ifs”, and I just love it! The possibility, the design, starting from scratch, everything. So today I’m sharing with you 10 Modern Farmhouse floor plans that I love, because well, that’s what I have been crushing on lately.

Hello Friends! We are winding down summer over here (like literally today is the last day!) and to kick off back to school we decided to give the kids rooms a bit of a refresh. Because lets face it, they are kids rooms, and tend to take a bit of a beating here and there with everyday living. DIY Chalk Painted Cabinet

One of my favorite transformations to do is making over a piece of furniture. I love that for a fraction of the price of buying a new piece, you can make existing furniture work with a little elbow grease. That was just what was needed for the little cabinet we have in our downstairs bathroom when we gave it a makeover. The best part about this little DIY was I completed it in a day, so if you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, or coming week, this is a great project that anyone can tackle.

Summer Tour of Homes 2017

With summer on the brain, I’m sharing a few tweaks I did to our home to get ready for the warm months ahead. Of course one of my most favorite ways to decorate is with fresh flowers and greens. Let no branch be left behind, ha ha. You can always find me outside in our yard, or perhaps my neighbors (he he) clipping away and bringing in whatever I find to be placed in a jug, or a jar somewhere throughout our home. Friends, today is the day! I’m finally sharing our bathroom makeover reveal! I wanted to keep the overall feel of the design of the bathroom vintage yet classic. It was important to me to choose elements that not only complimented our style, but complimented our house too. Since we live in an old farmhouse, even though we were adding all brand new pieces I wanted them to feel like they matched the era of the house, and would feel like they always belonged.

A Season of Change
