Bathroom Demo

Hi Friends!! Yes you are reading that title right, todays post is all about our bathroom demo! In case you missed it we are teaming up with Wayfair for their #oneroomchallenge and renovating our master bathroom! It’s so exciting! This room has NOT been touched since we’ve lived here, and I can honestly say it feels so good to put my signature on it! Unlike our downstairs bathroom makeover we did last year, the tub and toilet do NOT need to be replaced. New Slip Covers for our Sofa from Comfort Works

I am so excited to share all the details with you! I get asked a lot about our sofa, and slip covers in general, and since our sofa came with the slip covers already on them, I was never able to provide a source as to where to get your own. Many of you have asked where you can even find slip covers, or how to go about getting slip covers for the sofas and chairs you already have. Sometimes it’s not necessarily the furniture that we have that we want to replace, but just refreshen the look of them. I have just the solution!

Hello friends!! Happy Monday, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! There is something so refreshing about the weekend, we love to curl up and just relax and refresh on the weekends. Our weeks are so busy, that we’ve found it absolutely necessary to take time to allow proper rest on the weekends, and time spent with the family so that we can return to Monday and be ready to tackle the week ahead. Our #1 space to relax in is our living room, and I hinted in a previous post that I am getting ready to switch a few things out.

So I had a completely different post scheduled for today, but you know what I just had to share what I have been crushing on lately. I love floor plans! Like guys, I really LOVE floor plans. When I was thirteen, my dad let my sisters and I each pick out our own game for the computer. While my sisters were looking at actual games, in the game section, I searched and search for the perfect software that would allow me to decorate my own house. Unfortunately at that time, they didn’t really have anything close to that available, so I took what I could find. A software program where you could create floor plans, and place furniture in those spaces. My dad looked at me with this puzzled look and asked “if I was sure about this”. And with every bit of confidence I said YES! I couldn’t wait to try it out, lol. So I guess you could say from a very early age I loved looking at floor plans. Planning out the layout for each space, and designing it with the finishing touches in my head. While we aren’t looking to build, or moving for that matter, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes I just get swept up in the mindset of dreaming and “what-ifs”, and I just love it! The possibility, the design, starting from scratch, everything. So today I’m sharing with you 10 Modern Farmhouse floor plans that I love, because well, that’s what I have been crushing on lately.

DIY Chalk Painted Cabinet

One of my favorite transformations to do is making over a piece of furniture. I love that for a fraction of the price of buying a new piece, you can make existing furniture work with a little elbow grease. That was just what was needed for the little cabinet we have in our downstairs bathroom when we gave it a makeover. The best part about this little DIY was I completed it in a day, so if you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, or coming week, this is a great project that anyone can tackle.
