I don’t know about you, but I am finding that the older I get, the gifts I want most seem to be whatever I have my eye on that will make homemaking easier, lol. Sure it’s nice to get some new clothes or perfume, but I really want an upgrade to some of the appliances and household items I use on a daily basis. Don’t you find that when you have something that works really well, it feels less like a chore, and you are happier to tackle that to-do list? Maybe it’s just me, but I have a feeling I’m not the only one. Life is busy, and hectic, and I’ll take all the help I can get to be more efficient around our home, so I can spend more time cuddling on the couch with my kiddos. So I put together the ultimate gift guide of 21 gifts for mom, or any women for that matter, that she’ll really want!

A little Christmas Nostalgia
You’ve heard me say it before! Actually I feel like it’s all I’ve been saying for at least the last few years. When it comes to decorating for Christmas I love using tiny trees! Like seriously LOVE. lol. I’ve been adding tiny trees to me christmas decor for at least the last 5 years, and 4 years ago my husband jokingly decided to count them until the number reached over 100 and he gave up, ha! Well, I’ve still been adding since then, and I’ve shared HERE on the blog many different ways I’ve decorated with them. But what I haven’t shared is where the obsession came from. So today, I’m sharing a little christmas nostalgia in where my love for decorating with trees all began.
New Exterior Door Color
I was on the hunt for a darker color than what we had. I had painted them Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams the summer before, after previously painting them Tricorn Black. I like them dark, especially when they add contrast to the white siding, but after a year the Peppercorn color that I love in our downstairs bathroom and on our island was looking more gray than blue on our exterior doors. I shared my woes on finding the right navy blue, charcoal gray – ish color in my IG stories, and SO many of you chimed in with suggestions. Like, SOOOOO many of you! And I am so thankful, because I ended up finding a winner!

Fall Living Room 2018 | Seasons of Home
Hello Friends! I’m so excited to be sharing more fall looks around our home today, this time in our living room! I have some very special blogging friends joining me today. part of the Seasons of Home tour series, hosted by Kristen from Ella Claire. I have to tell you I was a little stumped this year when it came to adding fall touches to our living room. I couldn’t settle on a color to bring in or take out. My typical go-to grays just weren’t cutting it for me this time around. I went back to the colors I used in my fall kitchen, and how much I loved those.
Comparing Navy Blue Paint Colors
Hello Friends!! It is no exaggeration when I tell you I have been waiting a whole year to paint this new darker color! Yep, a whole YEAR! You see I contemplated it for a while, would try to discard the urge, and tell myself I didn’t need too, but it would keep coming back! Like a bad craving for something chocolate. I can’t believe I waited a whole year to paint this color. Sometimes you just gotta take a leap!
