After having what seemed like the most mild fall in history, our temps here in New England are telling us winter is on it’s way! In fact we’ve already had some snow fall, but with temps in the 70’s a few days later, it melted pretty quickly. With porch sitting weather no longer in season, I start to get our outdoor spaces prepped and ready for winter. Patio furniture gets put away, and any remaining signs of fall – i.e. our pumpkins, get fed to the chickens. Since we do get some snow on our farmers porch in the winter, I like to keep the furniture on it minimal. Making it easy to clear and walk on for shelter from the winter elements. I cleared off our porch the other day to start the process of outdoor prep, and created this sweet little Christmas Tree Farm vignette, perfect for the upcoming holidays, but something that can last all winter long.
Christmas Decor Storage
Hello friends!! I hope your holiday week is going well! If you’re like me, you might be feeling like you are still in that holiday coma, wondering what day it is and have consumed entirely too much cheese over the last couple of days. Styling a New Years Eve Bar Cart
Christmas is next week!! And that means that we will be ringing in the New Year before you know it! A few years ago we started celebrating New Years Even in, and having my sister and her family over. We play games and the kids have a karaoke sing off until it’s time to watch the ball drop! It has totally replaced any need to go out and celebrate. So while we stay in there are a few things I like to do to still make it feel special. One of them is styling our bar cart so it’s ready with a champagne toast to ring in the New Year.
Allowing others to give the Gift of Gathering
Hello Friends!! I can’t believe that Christmas is in less than 2 weeks! I feel like I say this every year, but every time we get this close to Christmas I find myself wishing time would stand still, and in disbelief at how fast yet another year has gone by. Last weekend I had the pleasure of going to Christmas party hosted by my friend Jen from Migonis Home. It was sort of an informal get together for some local bloggers and readers to meet in person, celebrate the holidays, and enjoy a meal together. Honestly, it was more of a blessing than I anticipated, and it reminded me of what it’s like when we allow others to bless us with the gift of gathering. So I wanted to share a little bit more with you all on here, because it truly is a gift we can all receive.
Christmas Tablescape Ideas
I think we all know by now just how much I love creating tablescapes, but just in case you don’t know – I LOVE setting a beautiful table, and creating an inviting atmosphere to welcome friends & family into. Well, the holidays just so happens to be my favorite time to create tablescapes, so today I’m sharing some Christmas tablescape ideas with you, and who knows, maybe it will inspire you to set a beautiful table this Christmas as well!
Holiday Porch | 2019
Hello Friends!! I’m so excited to share our farmers porch with you today, all spruced up for the holidays. I’m not going to lie, I think it’s my favorite way our porch has been decorated for the holidays so far, but it could be the fresh snow we got earlier this week that’s making it look extra festive!
