Hello Friends!!! I am so excited to kick off this week with Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk!! This is my 4th year joining in this festive virtual holiday home tour, and I am so excited to be here!
Eclectic Christmas Tablescape Tutorial
Hello Friends!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family, and your bellies are still full. We are enjoying the holiday weekend away with family, and couldn’t be happier to have some r&r during what can be such a busy time of the year for our family. I will be sharing more Christmas decor around our home this upcoming week, but in the meantime wanted to share the tutorial from a tablescape I shared last week!
Christmas Village Mantel
I mentioned in yesterdays post that Christmas decorating is in full swing around here! If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have caught my stories the other week about my tiny obsession with small white houses to decorate with for Christmas. Ummm I’m not sure where it came from, but I do know this obsession intensified last year, and the moment these cute little houses hit the shelves this year I have been scooping them up. So today I’m sharing how I decorated our “mantle” (a.k.a. the buffet in my dining room) into a tiny Christmas village.
Christmas in the Living Room | 2018
Hello Friends and happy Monday!! Christmas decorating is in full swing over here, and it’s funny each year, I feel like I liked the previous years Christmas decor better, and contemplate on what I will do / add this year. But then once I start finishing spaces around our house, I end up liking this years decor better. Isn’t it funny how that happens? …
Holiday Inspired Bar Cart
Hello Friends! Thank you so so much for all your kind comments about my eclectic Christmas tablescape I shared yesterday. I have to say it felt a little on the wild side for me, but it was fun to try something different, and I’m glad it inspired so many of you too! You may have seen a little holiday bar cart in the background of the tablescape yesterday, with a beautiful piece of artwork on it, so today I’m going to share more that with you. I’m a firm believe that art inspires life, and having it sprinkled throughout your home is a great way to inspire creativity in your home as well.
Eclectic Christmas Tablescape | 2018
Hello Friends! I am so excited to share this year’s Christmas tablescape with you. There are some familiar pieces, and some unexpected pieces, and I think that’s what makes it feel eclectic. It’s a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and I pulled it all together for the holidays! Also joining me today, are some blogging friends sharing their beautiful holiday tablescapes, so be sure to check them out at the bottom of this post!
Decorating with Bottle Brush Trees
I think it’s no secret around here that I love decorating with trees for Christmas. Like trees of all kinds, full size, table top, mercury glass, and especially bottle brush trees!! I love their cute petite size, and the texture they add, but most of all it’s their whimsical feel that has me loving the festive touch the add to just about any surface. They are so versatile and can be used just about anywhere, maybe that’s why I love them so much!! So I’ve rounded up some of my favorite photos from past years of decorating with bottle brush trees for Christmas, and sharing a few of my favorite places I like to scoop this tiny trees up!
Christmas in the Kitchen | 2018
Hello Friends!! I can’t believe the time has come to include the word “Christmas” in my post titles, but alas we are here. I’m so excited to share our open shelves in our kitchen with you today! They are my favorite place to make festive for the holidays. Honestly, I wish I could leave up the christmas decor on our kitchen shelves all year long, because that is just how much I love it! I recently gave these shelves a little makeover. I took them all down and sanded them and refinished them. To see the process you can click HERE. Here’s a look at how I started bringing Christmas into the kitchen this year.
Styling a Christmas Vignette
One of the things I always do is style our buffet in our dining room to coordinate with the rest of my christmas decor. I get text messages from friends around the holidays with pictures of their buffets, or side tables, or books shelves asking for my design eye to take a look and make sure nothing is missing. I love helping others love the spaces they are in, so I love helping my friends make their homes festive for the holidays too! Vignettes have to be one of my favorite things to do, other than tablescapes of course! So today I’m sharing some photos with you on how I style a christmas vignette.
