Hello Friends! It has been a while since I have shared a round up of my favorite home decor pieces, so I thought I would share some of the things that have caught my eye, and perhaps made it into my shopping cart this spring! I love incorporating a new throw pillow, or some faux florals to help usher in the new season, and nothing says spring quite like adding in some pops of green around your home! With spring just about in full bloom here in New England, I wanted to share some of my home decor favorites to kick off the season!
DIY | Faux Shiplap Ceiling
Hello Friends!! I’m so excited to share todays project with all of you, because it’s probably one of my most favorite faux treatments. I’m sharing all my tips, from prep work to paint sheen, to show you how I achieve this high-end look, for a fraction of the price. I know people don’t typically think about “decorating their ceilings”, but…

Spring Tablescape Ideas
Hello Friends!! It’s Spring, it’s Spring!! Or so I’m telling myself that, because as I type this there it is snowing here in NH. Yes friends – SNOW, in April. Which for a New Englander is nothing new. Just as we are beginning to see buds on the trees and new life emerge from the ground, the threat of a spring snow is always a possibility. A common factor of spring in New England that I keep trying to teach my kids about. Thankfully it usually disappears as quickly as it shows up, but nonetheless just when you think winter is officially over, it comes back around for one more visit. So today, on this blustery Friday in New Hampshire, I’m sharing my favorite glimpses from Spring Tablescapes I’ve created for a little inspiration, and to help remind myself that Spring is officially here.
DIY | Painted Terra Cotta Lamps
Hello Friends! So one of the projects I did during my winter “break” was painting lamps. Yes lamps! I’ve actually done this a few times before, and shared one recently HERE. It’s the perfect solution when you are wanting to refresh some items in your space without having to buy brand new. In this case however, I scored this pair of vintage terra cotta lamps off of Facebook marketplace the week before Christmas, but I just knew they would be perfect for what I was envisioning. Come and see how I painted these terra cotta lamps for a fraction of the price of the designer price tag!
Special Announcement!!
Hello friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend !! I’m so excited because today I get to share a special announcement with you all!! It’s something I’ve actually known about for quite awhile so I can’t believe that the day is finally here where I get to share it with the world! It feels like the arrival of another member to family – my book family that is. I shared in my recent Coffee Chat post that I had been working on a few fun projects behind the scenes, so consider this special announcement #1!! Guess who had a baby sister?!?!?
DIY | Hallway Board & Batten
Hello Friends! I’m so excited to share this latest reveal with all of you. The newest installment of one of my favorite wall treatments – board & batten. One of my go-to ways to add texture and warmth to a room that doesn’t have curtains or upholstery in it is with architectural details. You can add architectural details on the ceilings, on walls, and it instantly can make any space feel cozier. We have installed board & batten to quite a few spaces around our home, and each time I am just as smitten with the outcome. So today I’m sharing how we installed this DIY board & batten in our hallway at the bottom of our stairs.
Coffee Chat | vol. 1
Hello Friends!!! I know things have been a little quiet over here on the blog for the last few months, and before I jump back in to regularly sharing on here, I wanted to share a “catch – up” post if you will. Picture it as I’m personally inviting you over for a cup of coffee, only virtually. You know the kind of catch up you do with a friend when you haven’t seen each other in a long time, and a coffee chat is long over due. Well today, you and I are going to have a sort of coffee chat – only it will be online, although I so wish you could be sitting in my living room with me, curled up on our white slip covered couch, with a giant cup of coffee. Or tea, or hot cocoa, or whatever you choose to sip on while we dive deep into conversation. I thought it would be fun to share some photos I’ve snapped around our house over the last month or so while we “chat”.
Christmas in the Kitchen | 2020
Hello Friends!! Today I’m sharing how I decorated our open shelves in the kitchen! Every year when it’s time to pull the Christmas decor out, I head straight to these shelves in our kitchen. They are my most favorite area to decorate for Christmas in our kitchen, if not our entire house! The past few years I’ve kept things pretty consistent in how I’ve decorated them, each year slightly bette than the one before. However this year I was craving a little change. Like the rest of our Christmas decor this year, I’ve added my new favorite Christmas decor staple to our shelves, and while some things still remain, like boughs of greenery and bottle brush trees, I changed things up ever so slightly this year, and I love how fresh it feels!
My NEW Christmas Decor Favorite
There’s a new favorite in town, and you might have noticed it in my Festive Christmas Tablescape earlier this week 🙂 Or if you’ve seen some of my “behind the scenes” Christmas decorating stories on IG lately? I can’t help it, I’ve been adding it everywhere. Open shelves, my centerpiece, even in the vignette I created on my buffet. It first showed up in the faux garland arrangement I did on the new plank wall in our kitchen, and right away I knew I wanted to add this everywhere.
