The Gift {to} Gather
Hello friends!! Thank you SO much for all of your sweet comments over the weekend, as I shared who my grandmother was to me, and the impact she had on my life! I dedicated my book to her, and after sharing it with everyone on Instagram, I knew I just had to share more of who this amazing woman was! You can read all about my grandmothers house HERE, in case you missed it, but after reflecting on the type of woman she was, it got me thinking – “How did she do it all?” If you have ever struggled with getting together with others, or even inviting someone over, you are in good company my friend, because so have I! Today I’m sharing the struggles I’ve felt, and the gift it is when we gather.
My Grandmother’s House
What a week it has been!! A whirlwind, but it has been so much fun celebrating the release of my book with you all week long!! I shared in my Instagram stories on Monday about who I dedicated my book to. My grandmother. I was so blessed to group up with a grandmother who only lived 8 minutes across town. My sisters and I would always ask my mom if we could go over for a visit, and I’m so thankful her door was always open. I learned so much in those visits at my grandmothers house, and today I’m sharing my book dedication to her.
Setting the Table | The Gift of Gathering
I will be the first to admit, when I was a kid, setting the table for dinner was not my most favorite thing to do. Even when asked, I would begrudgingly say “yes”, as I walked over to the silverware drawer and began counting out forks. I did not see the point. I couldn’t understand why everyone else couldn’t just get their own silverware? Why did I have to do it? What I didn’t realize then, I’ve come to treasure now ~

If you are like me, perusing through the grocery store and those seasonal pumpkins and gourds keep catching your eye, but you aren’t quite sure what to do with them, than this post is for you! The Gift of Gathering | Come Join the Table!
Hello friends!! I can’t believe that in just ONE day my book, The Gift of Gathering, releases!! A friend asked me over the weekend at a BBQ how it feels, and I told them it still feels very surreal, like it hasn’t hit yet, and on the other hand it feels a little raw, like I’m walking around with my heart on my sleeve, because this book baby I’ve been working on will now be out in the world for everyone to see, GULP! To celebrate the release of the book, I’ve asked some blogging friends to join me in celebrating, AND I have a special GIVEAWAY for one lucky winner to receive!
DIY Fall Planter
Hello Friends! Today I’m sharing a super easy way to create a fall planter. I never really did anything with my planters for fall up until a few years ago. Thinking the season was over, and they would just die, I didn’t see the point. Now I love coming up with ideas to add some color to the outside of our home until a fresh blanket of white snow shows up. This year I focused on things that I could replant in the spring, for an added win! Come and check it out ~
