If you are like me, and don’t live anywhere near Waco, I wanted to share my favorites that could be found at your local Target. Since I’m on my way to visit Magnolia Market for the first time ever today, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite finds from the home decor line – Hearth & Hand.
I was on the hunt for a darker color than what we had. I had painted them Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams the summer before, after previously painting them Tricorn Black. I like them dark, especially when they add contrast to the white siding, but after a year the Peppercorn color that I love in our downstairs bathroom and on our island was looking more gray than blue on our exterior doors. I shared my woes on finding the right navy blue, charcoal gray – ish color in my IG stories, and SO many of you chimed in with suggestions. Like, SOOOOO many of you! And I am so thankful, because I ended up finding a winner!
One of my favorite things to do here on the blog, is share things I’m currently obsessed with, design trends, or just plain ‘ol things that I am loving in the home decor world. So today, I’m doing just that! I’ve been noticing a trend lately in kitchen designs, and while white cabinets still tend to be on fire (which I am perfectly ok with), there is a new(ish) cabinet in town that seems to be making an entrance.
Yes, you are reading that title correctly! Friends I am going to WACO! I’m seriously in a bit of shock and awe myself, like please somebody pinch me, can this be a reality, but YES I will be heading to Waco, TX next week to attend Magnolia Markets Silobration event with Kilz brand paint. I seriously cannot believe it, even as I am typing these words, that this small town girl from NH, gets to visit Magnolia Market during the Silobration event, and hang out with my favorite paint line to top things off!!
Every year after all the different seasonal decor post have been published, I like to go back through and round up a photo from each post to group together the look from the entire season. I don’t know about you, but I like having everything in one spot, where I can find all of that seasons decor posts, and then hop around from post to post if I choose. It’s also fun to see the overall theme all in one post, and I can share more on why I chose those colors, or decorated the way I did. And while I don’t always share my passion for food here on the blog, I am the kind of girl who goes into a restaurant and looks at what they are serving for dessert FIRST! I love to decorate with pumpkins for fall. To me it’s the easiest way to add some fall touches around your home. There are so many different ways you can decorate with them, whether you group them, or place just one on top of some stacked books. The possibilities are endless. I always get asked about what to put on your table during fall, that you can also use for Thanksgiving, so I rounded up 10 different pumpkin centerpiece ideas for your table. Hello Friends!! Yesterday I shared one of the risks I took early on in my blogging days, when I was first starting out in my business!! To clarify I don’t not consider myself a risk taker, or one who embraces chaos and uncertainty which are the first words that come to mind when I hear the phrase “risk-taker”. But I’ve been slightly surprised with myself over the last five years or so, as I’ve begun to grow my business, and realize that risk taking is necessary process in order grow. I believe it’s all part of embracing the process as we stretch ourselves to do bigger and better things! So today I’m going to continue with Part 2 of Embracing the Process. If you missed Part 1 I would highly encourage you to read that part first, so this doesn’t seem totally out of left field. Anyways here we go….
