I shared earlier in the year some goals I have for house projects this year, and one of those goals is making over our bathroom downstairs. You can see my design plan, HERE, for when we do makeover the bathroom downstairs, but until then I decided to refresh the walls, so it didn’t drive me nuts in the meantime. While there was nothing wrong with our bathroom stripes before, I’m so glad I decided to paint them anyways, because now I love it so much better. Let me remind you of the before :
If you saw my makeover plans, then you know I can’t wait to replace the light fixture and the mirror. Even though having a medicine cabinet is extremely practical, I can’t wait to add a piece with interest and texture! But for now, I will be content with a fresh coat of paint on the walls! Here is the After :
Every time I paint with gray I fall in love with the color all over again. This time I chose to try a sample I had purchased for a different project – Aloof Gray – by Sherwin Williams.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a full tutorial on how I painted the stripes, but for now lets just enjoy the after 🙂 Our bathroom downstairs is right off the kitchen, so changing the tan stripes to gray will carried the gray and white feel we have throughout the whole first floor.
I changed out all the art work as well, which really helped this space feel refreshed!
Sometimes all that is needed to spruce up a space is a fresh coat of paint! That was certainly the case for this bathroom mini-makeover! Have a great day!!
